Bending starter bars into the slab

Reinforcing starter bars need to be bent over at the right height before installing the slab mesh. This is my method for getting them bent neatly, to height, first time, every time.

Can it be done with 16 mm rebar and then rebend it straight ??

16mm bar would be way to tough for a little guy like me to bend. Trying to straighten a bent bar would be even harder, and it would weaken the bar to bend it back and forth.
