Bending tubing with sand

My Dad told me about that. Another guy in YT has a video doing it, however he filled it with water first then sand. Not sure how or why but it seemed to work perfectly with no crinkling on a janky home-made tool. I think the sand displaces water as its put in, and insures the sand is more compact. Probably doesn't work as well, or takes longer to add water to the top before it gets to the bottom. He also just sealed the ends with duct tape to.

I saw that too, and didn't think it would work, maybe it would, but I thought sand and welding the ends on was a better idea... have not tried the other way. I need to do a pepsi challenge :/
