Got a feeling many people will miss the description - Regarding the glowing swirl: I realized in editing that it is a glowing swirl on Audrey's inky hand, meaning that this is, indeed, one of Audrey's powers in BATDR. @ProdCharles Here's the theory: Audrey could be the child from BATIM ending and Henry's daughter. Henry could be the Perfect Bendy and due to him being the true creator and not Joey (the creator lied to us), Henry was reincarnated as benevolent Bendy unlike the malevolent Ink Demon (Nathan might fused it with Joey's remains through the Ink Machine hence its grotesque form). Audrey and Bendy would team up and try to break the Cycle (probably influenced by Wilson). There'd might be multiple endings depending on how your choices examples: Bad Ending: After Audrey defeated Wilson, she was attacked by the Ink Demon and but Bendy became so powerful destroying the Ink Demon however the Ink Machine was still in tact so Audrey attempted to revive Bendy by placing him inside the Ink Machine. However Bendy was reborn as the Ink Demon killing Audrey and impose its will upon the inky cartoon world with the souls still imprisoned. Sad Ending: Audrey fully became a Lost One, leaving Bendy alone, helpless and exposed to many dangers. Good Ending: After Audrey defeated Wilson and destroyed the Ink Machine, she was attacked by the Ink Demon but Bendy became so powerful, destroying the Ink Demon and sacrificing himself. Audrey cradled Bendy as he died, saving Audrey and the souls are finally set free. Also, Henry rhymes with Bendy. But hey that's just a theory.

Really cool ideas Catherine. The only thing I'm not sure of is Ink Bendy's origin. I recall that being the result of trying to create a real life toon without the aid of a human soul. Otherwise, your ideas are neat

@@ProdCharles I meant after Henry destroyed the Ink Demon in BATIM, Nathan Arch somehow managed to obtain its remains and mixed it with Joey's remains (thinking he was the creator) using the Ink Machine. But the experiment was a failure because the reincarnated Ink Demon was more worse than its previous form. Nathan/Wilson barely managed to keep the Ink Demon dormant. Then Nathan/Wilson discovered Henry being Bendy's creator so he had Henry successfully reborn as Bendy but this Bendy was too perfect always running away and causing mischief, so Wilson ordered ink people to capture Bendy and they caught him and locked him away. Then Wilson set his eyes on Audrey because her connections to Henry. Perhaps the series revolved around Henry's family as Audrey herself had special powers. Maybe in future games would feature Henry's descendants who were destined to set the souls free.

@@ProdCharles Here's something to think about: In BATDS, there's a mysterious voice gleefully processing its growing knowledge of Joey. Perhaps the voice might be the newly reborn Ink Demon that unlike its previous existence, this incarnation was more aggressive, cruel and intelligent because it had been revived along with Joey's actual brain via the Ink Machine - probably done by Wilson. In the last game, the Ink Demon was a soulless, brainless feral monster. But now with Joey's brain inside it, the Ink Demon had the ability to speak and more self-aware. In theory, I doubt we've seen the last of Henry and Joey due to their popularity and because we haven't seen the epic cartoon confrontation yet. Imagine the final fight between Bendy (Henry) and the Ink Demon (Joey) snarling at him "You were always good at pushing me to do the right thing..you should have pushed a little harder..." I recommend you check out the channel called Zed Technician and the game called Bugsnax. Thanks for the replies.

Fun Fact: While the majority of the game takes place within JDS, Audrey is in fact an animator for Archgate films. Hence the banners hanging in the mini museum. Plus the game takes place in the year of 1972.

As cool as this would be there is one major problem with it that essentially diminishes the whole idea. Joey drew studios was established in 1929 meaning a Bendy game set in the modern era would be set almost 100 years after the founding of the cartoon studio

Nice to see theories from you again :D I think artist rest is more meant to be something that in theory helps workers but in reality is part of their abuse - Bendy is sleeping there so perhaps workers to avoid wasting time going home sleep at the studio in that area instead. It is actually a thing that happens in animation studios / gaming companies / other companies that do horrible crunches. You can actually see resting areas in Chapter 3 of BATIM too - the hammocks in the big staircase and Boris' hideout. Henry does mention in one of his tapes that he didn't see Linda for days because he was working so hard. There also is a newspaper article in the Bendy Handbook about Joey locking employees in their working areas. So, yeah, not as much of a nice place to rest as it seems to be. 👀

I know that I am just seeing this as the game is being released now, but holy cow! The trailer alone makes the wait for the past 3-4 years worth it! I was worried that this game had been forgotten, but I am so looking forward to watching a playthrough of this game! There's so many new mechanics that are being introduced here, between Audrey and her new powers, the graphics, the fighting style, a lot of love and care really went into this sequel. I am mostly looking forward to seeing how Audrey connects to Henry in the story. Although, I actually theroized that perhaps the world Audrey is in might be a seperate reality than the actual studio. So, it's no secret that the world of Bendy takes place in the Joey Drew Studios, but everything is in a black and yellow color, and we also get to see that everything looks hand-drawn. At first, I believed it was just the artistic choice of the developers, to represent the world of the cartoons. But at the end of chapter five of the ink machine, we get to be in Joey's apartment, where we see everything is more life-like in terms of scale and texture. And everything is in color, so that means that the studio is a machnation of the ink machine, most likely created it based off of the actual studio but with a twist. This would explain why there are so many different levels to the studio that otherwise would not have been up to code, even by the time's standard. We also see that the story of the ink machine is a constant replay, there's no way to breaking the cycle, because it represents a film itself. Once it starts, it keeps going towards the end. Another refernce to old-timey cartoons. We also see that the studio in Henry's playthrough is a lot different compared to Audrey's, even though we have the same heavenly toy's, that's the only similar area the two characters go through. And the area Audrey is in seems to be more of a live-in situation. As we see that they have rest-stations, grocery stores, and other functioning areas to showcase that this is a society living here. Stuff that wasn't in the playthough with Henry. As remember, Joey created the studio to the point everyone was cranky and overworked, so that means rest-areas with beds probably wouldn't be there, otherwise the workers wouldn't be as upset. This is a huge clue to indicate that Henry and Audrey are in different realities. While it does seem farfetched, the idea of seperate worlds could have been hinted at in the final chapter of the first game. In Joey's apartment, you can see a story board with a bunch of pictures of the characters from Bendy and the Ink Machine. All of which are in different scenarios. Like Bendy destorying the last reel, Sammy with a tommy gun, using the tommy gun to kill a cartoon bendy, the butcher gang riding on Bertum's merry-go-round, etc. This could mean Joey had different ideas for how he wanted the story of Henry or any other character that got stuck in the world of the ink machine to play out. Alternative endings isn't something new in story or animation making, and it's what can make or break the world itself. This could explain why Wilson is a new character we haven't seen in the first game, he could have been a scaped character in Joey's story for Henry. But the main antagonist for someone else, like Audrey. (Also, wanted to point out I haven't seen the dark revival yet, so I am basing this off of the trailer and my knowledge of the first game.)

So this is we’re I’m confused I’m sure you and other theorists will figure it out but I used to believe that the adventure in batim wasn’t real and was an alagory for how crappy Joey was to his staff however this trailer seems to imply that this isn’t the case and that there really is an ink demon and people are actually becoming ink creatures.

My interpretation is that in the Bendy universe, there was a Joey Drew Studios that fell victim to Joey's ambition (I think there is even a teaser showing that the studio went bankrupt). Joey really was crappy to his staff. He tried to create living cartoons to entertain fans, potentially as a part of the attraction of Bendy Land, the first living toon of which ended up being the nightmarish Ink Bendy, which had to be restrained and contained in the Studio.

Makes sense considering the game is bigger than BATIM. they'd have more scenes to stitch together into a proper trailer. Some of the scenes may not even be events we encounter in the game, just fabricated for the trailer to get the gears turning.
