Bendy Buses are no doubt fun to ride. But with only 40 bendy buses out of around 5800 public buses in Singapore, they are quite rare. However, there is now a way to find out which services have bendy buses on them at a glance!

858 will confirm have Bendy Buses because DD buses cannot be deployed on Airport Services due to Height Restrictions in Basement T1,T2 and T3.

There used to be more variety here in Jkt, there's even locally made bendy chassis once (or twice and both retired). Now it's either Scania or Zhongtong ,there used to be Huanghai, Ankai and Yutong bendies, they don't work on many Corridors due to tight bends on some routes.

living in Woodlands, i see bendy buses everyday... though non now served the route/services i used daily except for ocassional trips to Changi Airport via 858, but that also managed to catch only once in the many years I took 858 to/fro Airport and Woodlands...

10 or so years back,bendy buses were more common in Tampines,thanks to SMRT's svc 67 that runs from Tampines to CCK.

SBST MAN A24 is only for SEDEP, svc 105 isnt in SEDEP, either for svc 27, 34, 36, 53 & 110

back in old days there is many bendy buses around singapore ,because LTA beside to replace double decker buses now only 40 of bendy buses ,i not sure why ?because of the bus driver for them is hard to drive ?

I knew it was rare to see bendy buses, but I didn't know it was that rare, with only 1% of the bus are bendy. Because I see them eveytime. 🤣🤣🤣 Now I know how fortunate to always see them though I don't really get a lot of chance to ride them.

Service 911, 912 operated by SMRT, Service 807 operated by SBS Transit & Service 858 operated by Tower Transit, are the ones that commonly you'll see MAN A24 bendy buses still operating in 2023. Had a chance to learn & drove them for a feeder service a few times, before I resigned my bus captain career back in early 2022. Mostly drove A22-E6 & A95 Lion City DD 2-door. Those were the good times... 🥹

@@shotby_yew nope. There used to be hundreds of them roaming across the island. The number dropped to 40 as the buses have reached the end of their lifespan and retired. They were replaced by double deckers instead as the authorities show no interest in buying bendies.

It’s sad that bus service 912 no longer have any bendies. We used to have bendies like 3 weeks ago but all of them have been thrown Into other bus services in Woodlands, mainly bus 903. I’m guessing it’s the due to the road trial along Woodlands ring road that made it difficult for the A24 to manoeuvre around it. The road is currently under trial and the LTA is seeking the public for feedback which can be accessed by a QR code on site at the road(near kampung Admiralty). It didn’t really made much sense that the bendies couldn’t manoeuvre around a one lane road since 912 also serves some bus stops along Woodlands Street 41 that is also one lane. I really do wish 912 can get the bendies back.

@@Zindineguardiola I can’t believe it but I don’t think 912 was the first, it’s probably 901 cuz I rmb 901 had a lot of bendies but now they don’t exist. It’s just B9TLs everywhere, this is just my opinion but I prefer the A24s over the B9TLs. Best of all A24’s and SMRT buses(pre BCM) all have visual passenger information system that tells you the name of the bus stop and it’s CRUCIAL.
