This animation’s purely beautiful, and even if it’s short, that makes sense, it takes a lot of effort to push things out like this. My favorite out of the bunch was 1:49 , just Sans deflecting a boulder thrown by Bendy standing still, and when Bendy comes charging at him, *the same boulder whacks him.*

The best thing about this animation (besides the quality because, y’know) in my opinion is the characterization of Nightmare Sans. It’s extremely similar to the figures such as Bill Cipher, and The Collector, and he has actual justification for this change with his power now being god-like with him easily defeating the normal and beast forms of Bendy. I actually really appreciate this on top of the quality if the animation.

Something interesting is that unlike Cuphead, Sans accepted the power that was being given to him and apparently that makes him keep his attitude and personality as it is, I don't know if at some point the power can get out of control and stop having his own personality going into battle like Cuphead, but I feel like it's kind of interesting. The animation was a bit short, but it is understood that the animations are not easy to do, even so I liked how it turned out and I know it will improve for the next part.

i mostly believe the reason why he still kept his personality is the fact he looks like he stopped the nightmare beams (thats what im calling those) coming towards him at 0:32 which makes more sense in a way the fact he need to use both of his hands to stop the beams coming closer. this makes more sense that he has more controll then cuphead as he didnt know what to do and he didnt have alot to stop the nightmare beams to come closer to him. making cuphead getting controlled by those nightmare beams(who we still dont know who truly doing these things to these guys)

For cuphead it's seen cuphead is more aggressive. And he aims for the devil. For my theory the nightmares appear under extreme negativity seen when cuphead lost his brother or like sans with that line to basically trick the nightmare.

Here’s a theory on why Sans kept his whole personality (or at least most of it) intact. Most of sans’ personality has fourth wall breaking, jokes, and laziness. Sans himself does in fact break the fourth wall here, though it also increases his physical abilities. Sans also has VERY good memory in Undertale itself, being able to remember previous timelines, so that likely translated into the nightmare form allowing him to keep his personality and remember who he is, all the while having the extra power. Plus he WILLINGLY activated his nightmare form, unlike Bendy in the next part who got forcefully blasted, and Cuphead who presumably had something similar happen.

I'm already gonna assume that somewhere in this battle is gonna lead up to Bendy becoming his Nightmare counterpart. Since, Sans first defeat resulted him becoming his Nightmare form. Edit 1: I love the fact that Sans way of turning into his Nightmare form isn't by a corruption or from madness as to how Cuphead went down. But, instead it's just something he's somehow able to accomplish through his sort of way. Before in this fight it was just Nightmare Sans blocking, dodging, countering, and parrying Bendy’s attacks. But then when Bendy got an actual clean hit that would’ve nearly if not actually killed any other character, only to see Nightmare Sans *not even flinch* from the attack… it put fear into the dancing demon, and rightfully so

Fun fact in 0:35 if you look closely enough you can see some blue glowing eyes at the background on the right of the circle. This could posibly be gaster ,meaning that problably gaster, combined with moro's power (wich explains why the circle turns blue and then pink) made it so that sans could get his nightmare form. Plus sans says "took you long enough" and sans is aware of everything that happens in different timelines. Your welcome

Pretty interesting thing is that in Nightmare Cuphead vs the Devil, Cuphead has these red lasers. However, here it looks like Sans can maintain some control over the power, as he turns the lasers blue and they turn to purple. At first the lasers tightly surround him. When they turn blue, they go farther away, and purple settles in the middle.

To be fair, the Nightmare abilities seemed to succumb Cuphead, but not Sans. Sans looked like he actually twisted the Nightmare to his own with his abilities. (You can see the circle turn blue and then turn purple, a mix of blue and red, when the Nightmare tries to gain control)

To be honest, for the continuation, I have a theory; Nightmare Sans would be the completely opposite to Nightmare Bendy, Nightmare Sans can use his form to the fullest and completely while retaining his personality, essentially using it as a power-up where he holds control still. Meanwhile, Bendy, despite its power; is contradicted by its own insanity, its own will to kill, that is all it sees, and because of that; it has a weak willpower to fight against the Nightmare Mode corruption, it will most likely cause even more chaos and aggression to boil. As for the continuation, I have reason to believe that Nightmare Sans, because of his very decent and possibly near-perfect control over his form exists, that despite Nightmare Bendy being much stronger in many ways, because it has a lack of control and therefore cannot strategize; the next battle will end up in a tie, making both win once, and both tie once.

i like your theory, but idk about bendy though. by seeing cuphead get possesed by the nightmare corruption i can see that some people cant have control of themselves, but sans can. And i think i know why: cuphead has no idea of the existence of probably morø, who is probably the one in control of the corruption/energy. But sans does, and as we can see he knows who morø is and that he is 100% real. but the thing is that even though cuphead had no control over himself (i might be wrong, but i think so cause he was acting like a zombie) he still beat the sh*t out of the devil. So i think that sans first went easy on him, but then bendy will go nightmare mode (probably no concious about it). So i do agree with you on that he will not have full control over it, the nightmare energy itself will do the job like it did with cuphead.

Lore implies he knows the higher ups, the ones that gives the characters nightmare forms. Makes me think that sans is maybe the only one to know the higher ups. Maybe bendy as well but I dunno Small detail i have noticed, but prehaps nightmare forms have a reason to be so on this. Cuphead lost his brother and the higher ups granted him powers to prehaps claim his brothers soul back from the dead. Sans is annoyed that he got a hole in his body every 5 minuite however he isnt enraged, so he controlled the power to his own way. Remember, beams are red and sans and bendy's palette is that of light blue and yellow.
