Matt, I love your storytelling and am a fan of the show, and the "but" that's coming is the gentlest one possible: sometimes your sound effects are louder than your voice, either blasting my ears if I'd put the volume up to hear you, or startling me if I'd had the good fortune to fall asleep. It was particularly egregious in S1 Starforged with the little robot chirps and I think it's got better since (I haven't listened to S2 yet) but it happened again here with the music at 24:40 and later with the monkey. If you could watch out from it moving on, I'd be sooo obliged 🙏

Hello there! Thanks for the feedback, I had this same note from another user and I will say what I said to them: I double checked the levels and they were absolutely fine on my end both through speakers and headphones. The other user reported it was not an issue on a different device, so I am not sure what is going on here! I am definitely aware of sound effect mixing levels because I know I have startled people with Griff's robotic beeps in the past, so I am always conscious of it. I shall remain vigilant, thanks for watching!

@@thebadspot Thanks for looking into it. Yeah it definitely could be an issue of users having different equalizer settings and response curves. I did my first listen through my phone's speaker but tried now on bass-heavy headphones and the music was still a bit louder than your voice, though not by much. Maybe the amplitude charts in your mixing software could reveal something? With Lorenzo, it could be that higher pitched sounds are perceived as louder, so it's a big contrast to your voice.
