I actually don't think he has. Today he said he's tired after PT and OT but I'll ask if he would do a forum thread. It'd be cool if he'd be up to do an anonymous audio only live stream Q&A (my face only shown) in the future on here but not sure if he's keeping this confidential

Hey man, very informative channel have been binge watching your videos as of late. I was wondering what your thoughts were on training legs in general can it hinder you when it comes extending during the procedure? I read on LL forum some bodybuilder could only extend up to 2 cm because the pain was so high due to how big his quads were hence I've been very hesitant on training legs since reading this and turned from training it twice a week to only once week with my one session not being as intense. My quads are a bit above average in length and I'm very lean so am a bit already scared that it would hurt me when I get LL done. Could you please give me your input if training legs is okay to do pre LL for someone who is a serious bodybuilder?
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
Great question and one that needs to be addressed. So typically you would be able to keep doing whatever you've been doing but just add stretching in. However if you just recently decide to go from 1x per week to 2x per week 2 to 3 months prior to surgery you may get tighter than someone who isn't as muscular or doesn't train as hard at all. Since you've dropped to once a week, and if you're okay with your leg development there, that is an ideal place to stay. You don't need any extra inflammation or tension from excessive leg training if you haven't been accustomed to it for a while. Having strong legs will help you with recovery more than those who skip training legs trust me. Muscle strength is a necessity but not NEW muscle or NEW strength you just started building. But be sure to stretch after all leg training regardless of what you do and scale it up 3-6 months pre-op. You will get tight regardless but it won't be as bad if you keep things maintained and not increase prior to procedure
@effemmeli4 жыл бұрын
@@Cyborg4Life I forgot to mention that I don't plan on getting this surgery for another 2 years, can i still train it optimally for another year before going full maintenance mode or is it better just to hold off and maintain what I already have? Also, what are the optimal stretches? I'd really like it if you made a video covering this topic , because im sure there are a handful of bodybuilders/athletes who have the same question and I don't see it answered on LL forum or anywhere else so you're the only source as of now for accurate info on this particular subject
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
@@effemmeli Oh yeah in that case you can still train normally till about 3-6 months prior to the surgery as you can transition into maintenance mode very quickly. The optimal stretches would be ones you can do are kind of like the ones I did in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/maPQZH6vqdN5iqc prior to surgery and here are ones you would do post surgery: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4bVe515odplp9E. But I am also working with a few LL patients to help revamp my rebuilding and rehab program I did after being discharged from PT after about 10-12 weeks after surgery. So yeah, you can hit the weights hard for now but once you confirm your surgery, just maintain at about 4-6 months out. And I really appreciate the support of my content as I just wanted to create a resource I wish I had years ago when I was planning for LL surgery

Can you please make a video on what to do before limb lengthing like 1-what supplment to use 2 months before it 2-what stretching Exercise do you recommend before the surgery 3-ideal weight for the surgery for each height 4- going alittel bit futher than safe zone what will happen like a 1cm or 1.5 or 2 5- should you get alot of sleep before doing the surgery 6-if you want to do 2 surgeries how much time should you wait until the next surgery This is more like a summary to the all of the things that you should do or not before or after the procedure i know you did discuss about some of them but explaining all of these in a short video will make a better pov and thank you

Cyborg 4 life : How long after surgery does the scar remove?
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
They don't completely go away. They just fade. Meaning you will have to give it time about 2.5 to 3yrs for full fade. Then if you still want them gone more (which they are barely seen) just go for laser removal but it's not necessary unless you're a runway fashion model lol

Hi Bro, Does Hydrotherapy is very much important after LL surgery? or else Physiotherapy itself ok?
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
Hydrotherapy is a fantastic recovery tool to expedite the rehab process. You'd just have to ensure you're at a point in distraction when your doctor says you can start it. But yes, it prevents reckless weight bearing while you reap the ROM benefits for a more normal walking gait sooner
@magueddeme15504 жыл бұрын
So after a year does your leg feel normal like how it felt before the surgery or does it feel different and can you still do the same things you done before like wrestle play football basketball or do you feel sluggish?
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
So I know that for the first 2 years it did feel different and I wasn't able to be nearly as agile or nimble or even do any sort of tumbling ground work. However once my bone fully healed, patellar tendon was healed after device removal and restrengthening the muscles I gradually noticed a more natural feel. As of now (nearly 8yrs later) I am as good as before. I could be better, but I've been kinda lazy with my cardio conditioning lately lol
@magueddeme15504 жыл бұрын
Cyborg 4 Life thanks for the response so you don’t feel anything no more in your leg it’s just normal like before the surgery
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
@@magueddeme1550 Yup normal just like before! The bone ridge is back (meaning the bone is fully remodeled-usually takes a few years), knee is fully stable, muscle strength is back etc. The only thing I will say is that because of my heavy weight training on calves, I can get tighter easier IF I don't keep up with my stretching aka get lazy. This is because I was always a tighter person and so I do my best to stretch after I lift but occasionally I slip off and will notice the slightest bit more of tension than when I do stretch. So occasional minimal stretching (like 30sec to 1min 2-3x per week) may be the one life long thing, anyone who gets LL done, has to do...at least for athletes in my opinion

What’s the age limit for limb lengthing surgery ? And how long before i can join office again ?
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
Sumit Anand typically over 55 things start to get more difficult so under 50 is best. You could go back to the office as long as you can manage the lengthening and crutches in about 3 months but usually about 4.5 maybe 5 months is best to be safe

Yeah that seems to be the expert consensus among experienced pros in the game. Of course they mention there are outliers who could safely get more but rarely. 5 inches is a huge increase anyway though
