Hey cool video. When you say you have learnt to meditate in uncomfortable situations does that mean you focus on your breath? I sometimes have social anxiety and am interested in techniques that help IN THE MOMENT. Also is it mainly mindfulness you practice?

Thank you 😄 I think mindfulness is the best word for it 😃 I would focus on my breath or other sensations in the body. And I would keep reminding my self to observe my thoughts, refraining from getting lost and believing them!

I have a question about my meditation. Recently when im going to sit everything just feeling wrong. my body feels tense, i feel uncomfortable, and i just cant seem to follow my breath and stay to the counting. Whenever i attempt to relax myself it feel like tremendous effort and makes other parts of my body feel stuck and uncomfortable. i was wondering if you know anyways i can get past this issue?

Hmmm. This is interesting. Have you tried any guided meditations? If I were you I would just switch tactics and try something else entirely. This could take away the sensation of forcing yourself to practice! Meditation can always just be fun, so I wonder if there’s any funner ways for you to practice, for now 😄

How long did meditation take to help you with anxiety?

Well for me meditation helped instantly, but I think that’s because of how I was approaching meditation (something like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnWbdqKceK6do8k ) It normally takes people longer to notice big differences with meditation, but they normally find a lot of little progress. That’s why I always like to prioritise those other basics like sleep, food, hygiene and a little bit of fun movement, as well :)
