This child with the diagnosis dyspnoea, was treated for months with antibiotics, bronchodilators and pulmonary corticoid sprays. However the clinical picture showed stridor caused by hypertrophic (enlarged) tonsils. After a minor tonsil operation (Sluder's technique) performed under general anesthesia and as an outpatient procedure, all sleep disorders, snoring and nocturnal enuresis disappeared, as well as the need for medication.
