In this video I will show you in detail the beautiful legendary Italian 6-cylinder Benelli 900 Sei motorcycle.

I had one. The power delivery was incredibly smooth. Traded a 750 Sei for it.

Eine Kirchen Orgel zum fahren ! Da kommen Emotionen auf .... ! Bei meiner damaligen Moto Guzzi hatte ich übrigens die gleichen Armaturen, Rücklicht , Tacho / Drehzahl Einheiten - ein Jawa Tino Timetunnel Video 😉👌

The twin front brakes are the same as my BMW R65 - Eeek! Forward planning is required. That is a lovely looking and sounding bike :-)

Love it ! I like the big 6-cyl bikes. I’m old so I like old bikes especially air cooled low maintenance high fun !

I have a 900 Sei with a Silentium 6-into-6 exhaust system intended for a 750 Sei. The more upright cylinder block compared to the 750's means that the silencers hang too low, to overcome that I had all six of my pipes cut and welded for a more upswept look. I replaced the stock three 24mm Dell 'Orto carb set up with a bank of six 22mm Dell 'Orto's with aluminium velocity stacks. To prevent my knees from banging against the outer stacks, I installed a pair of Paulo Tarozzi rear set foot controls that I modified, they were originally intended for a Moto Guzzi Le Mans Mk II. The stock 900 Sei has a superior power to weight ratio than the 750 Sei. The Benelli sixes are very good road handlers compared with Japanese machines of the same era.

@@caribman10 It runs fine with the six 22mm carbs, they were specially built for me by Selwyn Stickler of Selwyn's Motorcycles in Cambridge, UK.

Es curioso que dos motos italianas con mecánicas tan diferentes tuviesen la misma denominación, Benelli 900 sei y Ducati 906.

Especially concidering the fact that the actual displacement of the Ducati is 904 cc and the Benelli actually was 906 cc. I guess that odd numbers wasn’t a thing in the late 70’s. Despite Benelli used it on the smaller bikes such as the 654 Sport which actually was 604 cc! 🤷🏼‍♂️

Originally it had a six into two black chrome exhaust very rare now because they rotted 7:21

Legend has it ... De Tommaso overwhelmed by Japanese competition, ordered to buy a 4-cylinder Honda to dissect the engine and then copy it for Benelli and Moto Guzzi, but the hurry, the low budget, a bad copy came out.

The early 750 Sei in 1974 had gearbox problems, they were fixed long before the 900 Sei made it's debut in 1979. The Benelli 900 Sei is no more unreliable than the Honda CB500 that it was based on. Benelli multi-cylinder motors were assembled at the Moto Guzzi factory in Mandello del Lario, the final assembly was performed at Benelli's factory in Pesaro. Moto Guzzi were used to building large bore V-twins rather than small bore inline multi's, mistakes were made during the assembly of the Benelli motors at the Moto Guzzi factory. The Benelli 2-stroke powered machines were wholly manufactured at their Pesaro factory.

Wow! looks like 6 pieces of Suzuki GS125 engines moulded alongside!! China should make such 6 in lines and sell them on ebay

@Alfred Wedmore , the 900 put the alternator onto the left side of the crank , the ignition points were on the right side , I owned a 750 , they weren't that heavy , they steered & handled really well , alot better than eqivalent hondas or kwakas , & had a lovely wide flexible power delivery , & sucked alot of juice , & it was great fun .

Costaba igual que una japonesa de 600 cc. pero era refrigerada por aire, no tenia monoamortiguador, ni carenado integral, ni frenos de doble pinza, menos velocidad punta y problemas eléctricos como todas las italianas. Es un bello fracaso.

Wow I didn't know benelli made anything like this I just always associated them with Montgomery wards as they sold them as wards riverside bikes in like 90 to I think the biggest one I've seen was a 250 kinda cool but I never imagined they made stuff like this

engine is still cold.. takes a while to warm up and the the idle will stabilize
