The only drawback of the system is that it won't cycle certain ammunition types, like blanks(which is why you don't see these in a whole lot of films,) and less-than-lethal loads like bean bag and rubber baton. Fortunately in the case of the M3, the convertible pump action helps alleviate that problem.

Owned one for years. Love it. With an Urbino stock on it it's even better, sinnce the factory pistol grip stock has too long a length of pull. But it's kind of the red-headed stepchild of the shotgun world. You can find all kinds of accessories and upgrades for Remington 870s, Mossbergs, and Benelli M1s, M2s, and M4s. But for the poor M3, almost nothing.

I wonder how the Turkish M3 Clone would stack up against the original Benelli? Especially if you spend an extra $100 or so and add the original Benelli internals like springs, extractor , pins, etc. 🤔 it would be a huge cost saving, and the internals should help to make it a solid choice.

Hello, it is very nice video. But I wnat to learn the power difernces. Could you measure by any way, external and target ballistic situations? Actually, I think, manual should more powerfull from semi automatic. Because gas energy is %100 spending directly the bullet. On semi Automatic mod, the gas energy is working form recoil for setup the new shot. I think there is %5-10 power difrences, but do you have any experience?

doesn't every modern gun work like that? I don't know i am not a gun geek
@PolenarTactical
@PolenarTactical 3 жыл бұрын
Good question. Handguns mostly work with a delayed blowback system where a barrel locks to the slide so the force of the round firing first starts to push the barrel and the slide (together, locked) back to a certain point and then the cam unlocks the barrel and only the slide recoils back, ejects the empty shell casing and loads a new round. Most semi-auto rifles work with a bolt and bolt carrier - where a bolt usually rotates (but it can also cam or drop) and locks into the barrel extension or locking lugs. So when the round goes off the bolt stays locked and closed because the recoil or pressure from the round can't rotate and unlock it. To achieve that most modern rifles have a gas system where it takes a part of the gasses from the fired bullet to operate the action. You can have direct impingement, short stroke or long stroke piston system (and variations) So the gasses push the piston back which moves the bolt carrier back and thus unlocking and opening the bolt. But the benelli shotgun does that without the gas system, only with using the high recoil from 12 gauge rounds
