BENELLI MONTEFELTRO 12G JAMMING PROBLEMS

If anyone has encountered this jamming issue and have the fix for it besides sending it back to Benelli....please comment below....I am still having issues with it but not as bad...but for being a new shotgun I really should not have any issues...

I had issues with my mossburg when it was new. I’m pretty sure it takes a couple hundred rounds to get everything worked in happy. My owners manual recommended not shooting lighter power target loads until it was broke in. I bring g96 aerosol gun treatment with me to the range and keep everything extra lubed up. It smells good too!:) hope it all works out

Jeff Huntley thank you! I will look into that....so, far I’ve put over 1000 rounds through it...as I usually put at least 75 each time I hit the range...👍🏻😊...and unfortunately I still encounter this problem....I just may have to send it back it to be checked...

Also make sure that the trigger assembly is in correctly; just because the bolt seems secure to the receiver and goes all the way through does mean it is seated correctly. That causes misalignment.

I Bought my 12ga sport about 25 years ago. The only thing I have not put through it is slugs because I have a slug gun. The only problem I have had is the little screw that holds the sight rail worked out and had to be replaced. I probably didn’t tighten it enough. Several thousand rounds with NO feed problems. I think it best to send it back to Benelli.

You're very sweet. You tried all the right things. For what you pay for a benelli, they should run like a swiss watch. I have the super black eagle 2 and love it. I was looking at buying a montefeltro silver as a nice back up. After watching your experience, I'm not so sure. It makes you question their quality control.

Oh no!! Please get you a Montefeltro....you will love it!! Benelli is a great gun and they will fix any problem if needed. There can be flaws in anything....so don’t let that stop you. We just kept shooting the gun and working on it and now I don’t have any issues....I love my Montefeltro ❤️. You will too! I would also like the Eagle...👍🏻

I saw this video about the time I bought mine about 3 months back. I only had one jam and it was a ghost load. Caught it on my video too. But alas, I had to sell it today. Lost a contract and my next one won't start until Sept 7th. Been almost a month without a paycheck and savings got really low. So I sold it for $900. I had a Stoeger to sell too and ended up swapping it for a Glock 48 to make the total deal. So I have cash now to last me until my next paycheck and a Glock 48 to go with my Glock 43X. Either one of those would sell super fast but I'm hoping to be able to keep them. My Benelli Ethos is my favorite shotgun anyway. Hope you got the issue fixed.

Kornholeeoo glad to hear....yes, my jamming problem is fixed....I don’t know if we fixed it or if it just worked its self out...I’ve put a few thousand rounds through it now.

Benelli sometimes had 'problems' with new guns, being a little tight, but that would sort itself out when broken in. (250-500shots) Also, there is a tube in the buttstock with a spring/piston, that the black arm of the boltbody pushes on during cycling. If there is a scratch/debris in that tube, the piston might stick and hold the bolt. A friend had one that had gotten thin mud in the system, and had worked itself in there. His problems went away when he cleaned the tube/piston/spring and greased it up lightly. Have had Benelli Nova, Supernova, SuperBlackEagle and is now on 24" Montefeltro Extra Leggero. All had to be shot 200+ shots to be really good, and take light loads. My SuperBlackEagle 3.5" even liked 24gram traploads after a while, my Montefeltro loved then from the get go. Have had Remington, Mossberg, Winchester, and copies of those... and none are as reliable as the Benelli's I've went through.

You got a let the bolt slam home every time just make sure your barrel is on and your forend is on that sets up the whole mechanism including the trigger assembly just let it slam home.

My suggestion is to send it back to Benelli. If need be they'll replace any parts that are causing the problem. When you get it back it should work flawlessly. Good luck. 🔫

Also I was the Lucky sob whos gun did not come with plastic shims. When I hate a gun I get rid of it and thats what I will do. Just so expensive using newspaper nowadays.

My suggestion is that you take the gun back and demand your money back. I live in the UK and hunt and shoot skeet etc my gun dealer told me to stay away from the new montefeltro his words were they don't work. He refuses to sell them to anyone due to the large numbers returned to his shop with issues. The super black Eagle 3 on the other hand is faultless.

what PJ said. They have a breaking period of about 300 rounds and it depends also on what loads you are using. My m2 was a little tight when I first got it when using lighter target loads. I broke it in with a couple hundred magnum shells and never looked back after that. Also don't over oil inertia guns ... when it's cold the oil will gum everything up and that is no bueno.

Bought a Montefeltro this week and put a 100 28g cheapish Eley select ....i live in the UK.....cartridges through it with no problems. What was the fault and how was it fixed? Love the Benelli...makes a change....a good one....from the old Spanish made Lanber over and under i have been using to break clays.

Ken Clark on my Montefeltro it was not aligned right and the shell kept jamming....we fixed it ourselves and now it shoots great! I love the Benelli’s.....they make a very fine gun....I hope you love yours too....they are so lightweight and you hardly ever have to clean them because of the way they are made👍🏻😊

An old pal took me clay shooting a couple of years ago...loved it and applied for my shotgun licence...strict gun laws here..bought an old second hand over and under and now I have a brand new Benelli😜. Glad you got your problem sorted out. I take tips from Ben Hustwaite a UK champion clay shooter...check him out on KZbin..he has a channel.

Wow I have never heard of such a Problem .with factory loads.. . You need to take it straight back to the Dealer.. My friend had a Benelli Motorcycle he called it his Spaghetti Bender..

Bought it at Gander mountain going out of business sale. So Im screwed. I hate to sell it to someone with that recoil.If you take kickeez pad off and put stock benelli pad you will need new shoulder. YES its that bad.

@@tinyfemaleshooter8756 I just watched a video on the recoil system.. The only thing I can think if that you are too small and the gun pushed you back to much when fire it.. When some one holds a semi auto hand gun with a limp wrist the shells won't eject properly.. I also noticed a shell catcher but don't see that being the problem .. A New Gun may have came with some sticky anti rust shipping oil that needs to be cleaned off with solvent .. then you need a light slippery lubircant maybe something with graphite in it .. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHakY6yIeJ6EmJY Benelli is a Premium shot gun from what I have heard. Benelli Desinged a good Motorcycle but it's manufactured in China . So Harley Davidson recently got the real Brain Storm of an Idea to try and sell Motorcycles in Asia . It's the one desinged by Benelli made in China but with a Harley Logo on it.. Well HD is loosing sales in the USA their CEO President was recently fired and I think they dropped the Made in China Harley Davidson Project.. Sounds to me like an issue caused by heavy anti rust shipping oil.. I think they call it cosmoline..

maybe Im 285lbs and my body isnt moving. Dealer near me said Im putting cheek on stock but there are many other forums where guys have knots on their cheek next day and purple shoulders.Im 62 prob had 62 shotguns but never a POS like that benelli.. Try to trade or sell one!!!
