I wanted to say thanks. I watched your other video on easy upgrades. I purchased the recommended parts. Just installed this buffer tube spring. Could not have done it without the video.

@@AmericanArmsChannel do you have a video or reference for doing the hammer spring?

thumper49802 i do not yet. I can put one together soon. But for all intents and purposes, the SBE II trigger housing disassembly will be almost identical

@@AmericanArmsChannel that hammer spring was easy to do. Just that little d clip that holds the pivot pin was kinda opened a little bit. However i notice that my feed on the bottom looks like its canted to one side. Normal? It still functions

If your plate is a ZDX are you using a Z shim at the stock where it meets the reciever?
@AmericanArmsChannel
@AmericanArmsChannel Жыл бұрын
Consult your user manual to confirm, but if I recall correctly, you can combine the drop/cast plates with any shim, but ideally you would install the shim that matches the drop/cast you need. I for example need the ZDX and install the D shim to match my proportions so that when shouldering I am looking straight down the rib with no top of the rib visible.

It appears that the camo finish is falling off the stock? I have a SBE 2 & it hasn’t come of at all. Good video
@AmericanArmsChannel
@AmericanArmsChannel 4 жыл бұрын
The finish on the SBE 3’s is very durable, but I am very demanding on my equipment. At the time of this video, there was some wear showing, but most of what you see is actually just how the light spots in the Optifade Timber camo pattern show up on camera. But, the checkering on the pistol grip and forearm points are the very first thing to wear off. I am right handed, so 99% of use and carry wear occur on the left hand side of the shotgun. This SBE 3 has gone through the planes and river bottoms of Nebraska, the hills and hollers of middle Appalachia, and the timber holes of northern New York over the past 3 seasons. Spotless performance, and the camo is holding up well for being banged and scraped around canoe bottoms, laid around in layout blinds, bumped around in pit blinds, smeared in mud and washed in river water, and ground against limb and bark. Honestly, I have expected much less of the finish and it pleasantly surprised me.

Some are more difficult to remove than others. Penetrating oil and sometimes light application of heat can help.

Is it normal for the whole tube to twist when trying to take the spring out? I stopped because that freaked me out lol
@AmericanArmsChannel
@AmericanArmsChannel Жыл бұрын
No. The whole recoil tube should not be turning. Most likely you do not have thread locker on the receiver threads and it is twisting out.

@@luknichols9028 it shouldn’t be hard to Correct, but get ahold of Benelli if you think it’s a manufacturer defect.

Will that particular upgraded action spring still cycle trap loads?
@AmericanArmsChannel
@AmericanArmsChannel 5 жыл бұрын
In my experience, yes. Each gun is different, but most guys don’t have any issues with it running 2-3/4 Dram Equiv. Or better 1oz and up loads

What spring upgrade will make the gun cycle faster?
@AmericanArmsChannel
@AmericanArmsChannel 10 ай бұрын
Wolff springs extra power will make the return to battery more quickly than the OEM… but not technically make the action faster. It’s cyclic rate won’t increase.
@eastonsoular2425
@eastonsoular2425 10 ай бұрын
Would that be a hammer spring or recoil spring? And would you recommend the upgrade for upland/target loads and duck loads?
@AmericanArmsChannel
@AmericanArmsChannel 10 ай бұрын
@@eastonsoular2425 I installed both the extra power Action (recoil) spring and the extra power hammer spring. I did this primarily for more reliable return to battery when the action is very dirty or in blowing sand conditions. I installed the hammer spring for reduced lock time. I did not have issues with reliability on any loads that are 1oz at 1,200 FPS or greater. Duck, goose, upland, turkey, buckshot, etc all cycle perfectly. The only Light loads I have had reliability issues with are 1oz at 1,145 FPS or less. My action is completely smoothed out by over 7.5 thousands rounds, so your milage and expense may vary.
