Good video man I was having a lot of misses this season shooting black clouds outta the Carlson mid choke I was wondering about some heavy metal options thanks for the tips

They aren’t bad but the didn’t pattern the best on my platform. I have never used black clouds. What you think? I hear a lot of mixed reviews. I heard they are choke tube picky. Have you tried them with other chokes? I want to check those guys at least on paper to see what’s up

@@Panchothings sooo I shot the black clouds 3 1/2 and 3s for years outta my supernova with the standard modified that comes with the supernova and I had alottt of success for along time, i took a couple seasons off until this last season so my aim wasn’t what it use to be in general but with the Carlson choke and black clouds combo I didn’t like at that much, that being said I never patterned it, we we’re getting skunked at union and with like 20 minutes of shoot time left i sky busted a headshot on a snow goose at 50-60 years up with that combo don’t think I would of got it with any other load though clouds fly far, my dad was shooting clouds all season with the extra full choke carlsons and he did worse then me this season on ducks but better on geese.. they really lump up outta the extra full he hit a snow at like 25-30 yards with it and it almost took a whole breast off the poor bird, he was using the standard Benelie full before this season and had less misses in the past

@@Shooter_Mcgavin93 that’s interesting. I only know 1 other person that uses black clouds and he said that they are good but you have to find the right choke tube. That adds up, he shot the same shell out 2 different platform’s and both ended up using complete different chokes tubes. Different manufactures and constrictions. He also mentioned that close birds can get damaged as well. It would be awesome to put them in paper with different chokes and see what happens.
