Great work, after trying F012.0 it was still out. I worked my way down and ended up leaving it on F011.6 which is dead on the GPS for my bike. For greater accuracy, inflate the tyres to the recommended pressure and check and adjust it in KM/h rather than Mi/h due to much finer single digit steps in KM/h. @@KrakensGarageandAdventures Thank you so much for this wonderful information. Got my TNT just the other day. This morning, set it to F012.0 and drove 37.5km. At the end of the trip, the TNT showed 36km. which is now around -4% error. @KrakensGarageandAdventures Жыл бұрын
If your bike is new, take it back totally he dealer for warranty work. If out of warranty, yes the wheel sensor is blocked or quit and should be an easy fix. Otherwise the gauge cluster has gone bad and is a plug and play to put a new one on. Good luck and congrats on the new TnT!

@Kraken's Garage & Adventures thank you - my dealer is great but is about 45 min drive away, I figured I'll do it myself. Does the rev limiter use info from the gauge RMP, or some direct feed to the ECU? It is concerning so many people have had RMP issues from this procedure.
@KrakensGarageandAdventures Жыл бұрын
Yes, several folks have stated it jacked up the rpm range because they didn't do the programming correctly. The real problem is hitting the two button simultaneously. You can always reprogram it back the the OEM perimeters. If you're not comfortable doing this program, don't.

This has happened to a few doing this programming. Just redo it again and pay close attention to when you hit both buttons at the same time to close out the programming. They're super sensitive and prone to jumping to the next digit. Thus screwing up the numeric values. 100% folks have had success once getting past this part

Toni, you have good point! lol You can always change it back if you like. I think the overstating the speed comes from a court ruling long ago when police started using radar and folks started suing the car manufacturers for speedos that were showing lower than real speeds. I just got a 2021 TNT135 and I just tested the speedometer accuracy and I was just showing that I was going 3mph SLOWER than what my speedometer read on my bike. How come the speed difference was a lot more on your bike than mine? I forgot to test at 60 though. Does that matter? Do I need to test again at 60mph?
@KrakensGarageandAdventures3 жыл бұрын
I validated the error at 30 mph and at 60 mph. So to answer your question I would need to know the speed you were doing (verified by gps).
@samweller20013 жыл бұрын
Well.... I didn't have a GPS available so instead I downloaded a speedometer app on my phone and I referred back to my phone once my bike reached 30mph. The speedometer read 27mph. I'm about to test it again to confirm that the reset fixed the 3mph difference. As for checking while going 60mph, today is technically only my 6th day riding a motorcycle of any kind and I honestly haven't gotten to the point where I'm comfortable going 60 yet. So....what great words of wisdom do you have for me? Lol 😉
@KrakensGarageandAdventures3 жыл бұрын
@@samweller2001 don't run it to 60 mph during brake in, phone app should be good enough. So .. I did this mod and my speedo was just about dead on. That was great! Now .. I recently installed some Dunlop D604 tires, which are a bit taller than the OEM Cordial tires. Now, my speedo is about 3-5mph pessimistic. At GPS 25 mph, my speedo reads 22 mph. At GPS 60 mph, my speedo reads 56 mph. Better this way than when OEM, but any ideas what setting to try to bring the speedo up? Back to OEM setting would get it a bit closer. Can't remember OEM settings. Ideas? Thx

Jeff, I'm afraid this is going to be hit or miss. So go through the same process bit use a smaller or larger numeric value. Check against a GPS. If it swings too far adjust your value up or down accordingly. I'm sorry to say I don't have any other advice sir. Eric

Hello, the values of 123 and 0.12.0 to which they correspond, do you need to know something related to the diameter of the wheel? I have a tnt 15, would I change the values or use them? and also if the value influences marking km and not miles my dashboard
@KrakensGarageandAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Hiya Gustavo, the short answer on your questions is yes, the 15 inch wheel will effect the values and you will have a large speedo error. Unfortunately I do not know the value increments you will need to change. My advice is to hook up a GPS or use your smartphone with an app that tracks your actual speed and change the 123 to say 125, make a run and note the change in speed to compare what it's showing now. If it's adding in the wrong direction, change again to say from 123 to 120 and check your speed. It will be a trial and error situation to get it dialed in. Good luck and happy holidays.
