I was in my late teens when this bike was released and I'm still fascinated by the front, the tank, the panel passing under the seat and of course the iconic yellow rear radiator fans!

I’ve owned 36 Benelli’s and I adore the Tornado , I’ve got the rare yellow RS and it’s here to stay . Great noise on power and it truly makes sense to see how Adrian Morton designed it to have a perfect weight balance . Having owned the 1130 version with dry clutch and it’s bigger HP and Torque it just amazes me how little people know about them and how easy to ride they are . Plenty of carbon available and certain parts such as tail light can be brought up to date with an LED version from a keeway 125 . One thing I’d say is Guard the mirrors with your life as they’re super rare to buy and don’t expect much change from £400 if you find some . Great review go check out the super exotic LE version full carbon and magnesium ....wish I’d kept mine 😀

I believe, sourcing parts for these is an impossible task. I mean the engine and body panels etc

@@metfreak100 Yes. I was knocked off my Nelli and it cost £1,100 for 2 side panels and one mirror. oh and a gear selector rubber.

i also have a RS yellow during 18 years no a problem. It's rare and for this is a L.E. Must to be saved inside modern art museum.

Along side my blue Ducati, I have a red Tornado Tre. I've owned her since 2005 and absolutely adore my little Nelli. Yes the clutch is a handful (literally) and neutral is often wishful thinking, but as you said just slip her into neutral as you roll to a stop and everything is golden. Beautiful machine that delights me on every ride.

I know I’m a bit late to the party but that is a gorgeous piece of art. Thanks for the bimble around the country lanes. 😉

great review. I have owned a red one for three years and would never sell. Truly amazing and unique bike - that exhaust note makes me smile every time i ride her.

Thanks so much for the kind words. It's a really great bike, I had so much fun putting together the review. The only downside was I had such a short test ride!

I was fortunate a few weeks ago to find an example of the LE version that was sorted and with very low miles. More or less everything you said in the video applies, also a new rider on the Benelli, I appreciate your review. In person it is easily one of the prettiest bikes ever made IMO. The triple feels very different than a Triumph of similar cc size (used to have a 955 Daytona). The sound with the Arrow pipe is really fantastic.

Thanks for your kind words. It's an amazingly interesting bike, I only wish I could have spent a little longer with the one I rode for the review. So glad you're enjoying it!

These are incredible bikes, I don't think anyone complaining about obtaining parts really gives any reflection on the bike itself, servicing parts widely available. Comfortable riding position, brilliant road handling and the same quality parts found on other very well known Italian bikes. A unique machine with unique characteristics and this one is an outstanding example, known to have a silky smooth engine and plenty of power for the roads today, a great and fair review imo, to win it for £3.75 is just bonkers, bikes just run in too.

Rode one myself yesterday and you are right… an absolute gem of a bike to ride (albeit not too happy in town… then again what sportbikes are?)… get it out on a twisty national limit and it all makes sense… the sound through the arrow pipe and the pull at around 11500-12000rpm is pure music

@@FrontWheelUp got some other interesting rides lined up… recently took out a YZR500 replica RD500 (sadly didn’t have a helmet mount for my GoPro so could only get some clips filmed by the owner of me on it… what a special bike (have a look, they’re on my channel and a write up will be in the next issue of MotoGusto magazine)

On ya something difficult to present as many have never heard about that super-bike build that no one could ever come up with. It’s a mind blowing bike hope the lucky winner lets you rip it at a track-day. Testing bike on the road I track my 1130 tre and she’s allways gives feed back like “Concetta” that crazy Italian women from that little village you always go back to she’s special and engineered like nothing else nice you treat her well she’ll be the best bang well done

I always fancied a TNT 1130 R160 {my old 60+ spine couldn't stand clipons} but, like the gent below, Ryan Denver, I worried about parts, and also reluctant engine starting when hot. I suppose it would have been ok if you never turned the engine off !

I had one of these a few years ago. Absolute nightmare to get parts for. One problem I had you could never get the thing into neutral with the engine running and the clutch would murder your wrist after a hour or so. Apart from that it was a ok bike but I wouldn't buy one again.
