Seems like Beneteau Group offers a lot more engine choice in their diesel inboard. Which brand would you put in your boat?

I would like to know too. My choice is yanma but the big boys go with volvo 1000.

@@MarketingStrategies28 1000hp inboard would make no sense on a trawler hull. You'd get like an extra 7 kts top speed for 3x fuel burn at trawling speed.

@@MarketingStrategies28 I really like the 2x 320hp yanmar diesel package that comes with the boat standard. I've actually piloted this exact boat (the nepenthe) as it's slip is right next to the 35 swift trawler "Vitamin Sea" that i'm on. They're both great boats. The 35' that i'm on has 1x425HP Cummins Diesel, I get 6 MPG at 6.5 knots which is perfect for night crossings to catalina, but I like the package on the 41 quite a bit more, as you can really squeeze it out to 25 knots vs the 17 knot top speed I get while getting the same 0.8 NM/Gal fuel economy
