Sure you can do that, there are many available overhead stands on amazon for mobile filming. Make sure to also get a softbox light 💡

I usually don‘t use the apps that come with the gimbal. I solely rely on the nativ camera app or filmic pro.

Thanks for your comment! Yes you can definitely use the Dji OM 4 to film yourself since you are able to track yourself. You do need a bit of practice and its good to learn the features of the OM 4.

You can use almost any standard case with the Dji OM4. Usually I use the litechaser pro case by polar pro since i can add Variable ND Filter to the phones camera.

Hi, I agree with everyone, awesome!!! I am wanting to buy a smartphone gimbal and am leaning towards the DJI OM4 but just saw the Movi Freefly and that looks interesting. Price aside, which one would you recommend?

Thanks a lot Mark! I have heard a lot of positiv response from the Movie Freefly and might be the better choice if you put aside the price, but i haven‘t tested it out, so I can‘t really tell which one i prefer. I m loving the OM 4 especially the magnetic mouthing system. I already have two other gimals, the OM3 and Moza Mini MX, but the OM4 is by far my favorite :)

What is a difference between DJI OM 4 and OM 5? Is OM 5 really worth extra money? And what are your thoughts about Zhiyun Q3 compared to OM 4? I want to buy a smartphone gimbal and I would really appreciate your opinion.

I would still go for the OM4 as I am able to charge my iPhone while shooting. It also handles the iPhone 13 Pro Max better. The Zhiyun Q3 is a good gimbal but i prefer the magnetic clamp on dji gimbals for a quick setup time.

@@djordjek3916 I wouldn't get one. They don't tilt like proper gimbals do - only about 30 degrees up and down. So you can't do a basic low to high shot which is a gimbal's bread and butter. The follow mode does not work well at all. While using it, you just have to turn a few times, return to your original position, and the phone will be pointing out of whack and need recentering. Tracking doesn't work well either because of the terrible tilt range and because it goes beserk if you lose the subject instead of reverting to follow mode which, doesn't work anyway.

We'd love to see how you edited and colour graded this amazing video as well ❤️ honestly, even shooting at 4k 60fps from mobile, the colours captured by most smartphones are kind of faded, but your video looked amazing.

You have the USB port and the USB A Port backwards. The standard USB port is used to charge you cell phone and the UBB A port is for charging the Gimbal

The USB port is not for charging the gimble, that is what the exposed USB-C port is for. The USB port is to charge your phone either while you are or are not using it. It is great for when you are doing long shoots as you do not need to worry about having a very long cable attached to an external power bank in your pocket.

Hello Listen, I just bought the OM4 but I noticed a very strange thing and I would like to understand if all this is normal. When I perform a movement on the Tilt axis via joystick at the first movement it makes me shots that can be seen on video. Since it is the second that the store changes me I would like to know if it is normal or if it is mine defective

I have seen any video from KZbin of someone who could show the Tilt movement of the Joystick command gimbal but I have not found any, the strange thing is just what I see video where everyone shows the movement of the Pan through Joystick but no one on the Tilt to understand if what mine is doing is normal or if it is a defect.

Why didn't you point out it's significant flaws? Tilt: there is none. You get about 30 degrees up and down and that's it. So you can't even do the most basic gimbal move: the low to high crane shot (or the reverse of that). Follow mode: it does not work. After just a few turns, the phone won't be in the same position as it started in if you return back to your own starting position. So you have to constantly recenter the camera or micromanage it which ruins the shot and makes life unnecessarily difficult. Tracking: It's jerky and VERY temperamental. It easily loses the subject if they move even a little away or too much up and down - the terrible tilt range coming to bite you here. And when it loses the subject, instead of reverting to follow mode like any half thought out design should, it goes utterly beserk and the shot gets ruined completely. I'm surprised you didn't notice or mention this whilst filming the dynamic environment like the skate park... I took this skiing and within a couple of hours these flaws were patently obvious. Did you notice them or has DJI sponsored you to just go through the positive talking points? A gimbal is supposed to make your life easier for you and open up your filming options to get more interesting, dynamic shots. The om4 does anything but that. It can't tilt, it can't follow and the tracking is not good. I suspect they just made a nice looking design and gave them to a bunch of youtube "reviewers" who stick to the talking points and never mention the flaws which, with the om4, are significant.

And again DJI just piss on Android users...No settings at all, even for chinese Huawei P30 Pro...just set camera 4K and 30 FPS....No Manual White balance, No ISO, No SS...damn DJI...need to use all time Filmic Pro in order to get a "half pie"...
