Thank you so much for this! I took care of mine, but it just will no longer hold a charge. I was going to order from Amazon, but people were leaving reviews about how it didn't fit and you're not able to return it. I'm not sure what happened along the lines. I just ordered directly from Goal Zero. I hope it will work. They have some negative reviews, too, where people state the replacement doesn't last very long either. It costs $50 at Goal Zero, and they give you 30 days to return it. It's suppose to be the same battery that they use for the Yeti 150. I truly appreciate your taking the time and sharing this. I now know how to do it. Thank you!!!!

So glad to find your great video! I have an older model Escape 150 that no longer takes a charge. I will order the battery you recommended and see if that brings the Escape 150 back to life :-)

I replaced mine with this battery from Amazon a year or two ago it was black color and it didn't fit though it claimed to fit. Had to return it and get my battery at double the cost thru Goal Zero but now its dead again, does anyone know if you can bring your discharged battery back to life? Trickle charging or other method? Or if they've use this same battery and it fit? Someone said I should shave it down to fit since it was close to fitting but I opted not to do that. Amazon add still says its for Goal Zero Escape by way.

Definitely try a trickle charger. I would carve on the case though.

Thank you for a timely video. I bought by Escape 150 in September 2012. By the spring of 2016, it was not holding a charge. I bought the same replacement battery that you recommended in August 2016, but never got around to swapping them. I decided today was the day, but better see if any videos are out there with instructions. Bingo!

It’s a 4.7mm barrel connector, same as on some of the old goal zero solar panels like the Boulder 15

they likely already mentioned this to you, you aren't supposed to toss out the whole battery every three months, they just want the unit filled up, as in used and refilled, every few months or so.

Ok. I saw thus video. It looks easy and simple. So I ordered a battery and tried to replace it. But it won't go back in as it was!! Ugh! Piece of junk!

I had the same problem. The battery does not fit for all models. If you have a Dremel you can file down a of the plastic on the inside of the case. That worked for me.
