Never heard of this shoe before, and trust me I have tried a lot of shoes. I previously worked at a running store too. $200 is very tough to throw at a brand you're not familiar with. I may give the version 1 a try since they're on sale. Great review nonetheless.

Yeah i understand your thinking there and i think i would be in the same boat. Having said that i did enjoy trying these out. Always fun to try something new so if you can find a sale then i hope you get on well with them. Thank you

Xtep, 361, Anta and Li Ning make very decent running shoes. In general better made than most Western brands for the same price. Asics and Chinese brands are my go to shoes nowadays.

Have you thought about trying the Xtep 160X PRO version with the 8mm higher stack height and 4mm drop from 34mm to 30mm seems a more cushioned ride and heard good things including this: In the 2020 Nanjing Marathon, Peng Jianhua and Yang Shaohui wore black platform running shoes and ran the first 2:08:50 and second best results of the 2020 men's marathon at 2:08:56 (that turned out to be the Xtep 160X PRO Black colourway) They retail at £180 which is Adidas Adizero 2 range and just a bit cheaper than the Vaporfly (of which I have both shoes but just the first version of the Vaporfly the later is my race shoe). I'd be really interested to see some KZbin reviews on these as they are a little different from the classic running brands we see here in the UK.

Great review and that is fast. I have this tested and its like a supershoes for me because I don't have the next%. However the price is actually almost like the next% with 46 price difference in my local. It used to be cheaper few months back.

They definitely are up there with the super shoes and very attractive at the cheaper price point!

Helo I want to run continously for 1 hour...but now I can only run for 12 mins...how can I reach my target?
@seujorge19893 жыл бұрын
Instead of looking at minutes, looks at the miles you can complete. Your goal should be hitting 3 miles, once you hit the 3 miles mark and you consistently hit that 3 miles, try doing that 3-4 times a week. 3 miles only for a few weeks. Gradually you'll be noe comfortable hitting 4 miles and do that for a few weeks 3-4 times a week. And then you'll be able to go to to 5 miles. At miles you should be at 45-55 mintues.

@@seujorge1989no no no. If you can't run for more than 12 mins, then you're running too hard. Beginner runners should run almost exclusively at an "easy" pace. Your goal should be 30ish mins at the fastest pace that you could still hold a conversation with someone. Start with a few days a week of doing that, then work up to every day. I know I'm two years late, but whatever.

If the Vaperfly is 10/10 what would you rate the Xtep?
@BenIsRunning3 жыл бұрын
Great question, I’d say 8/10 comfort wise but 7/10 on performance
