Good to see a review of these on KZbin. I’d always wondered when I’d seen these and similar whether they were worthy shoes in their own right or just Vaporfly ripoffs. Doesn’t sound like a shoe for me at the moment but I’ll keep my eye out for future releases. Thanks for all the excellent work on the advent calendar. Always enjoy waiting to see what video is next, they’ve all been very interesting so far!

@@AlexFilitti it’s been a good balance. The amount you’ve spent on shoes for the channel was humbling. Makes me feel better about my own expenditure. Next time my wife complains about me buying shoes, I’ll show her that one. 🤣

@@dominicmcnamara £15 - £20 cheaper and it would be for me too. I love it but the closeness in price between it and the Pro 2 just knocks it down a touch in my estimation.

@@andywright7425 Agree. The Adidas 30% off is valid all December I think. At that price it' s hard to beat but MSRP is a bit too high.

Should try get your hands on their top of the line Xtep 160X PRO, looks good in the black colour way and has apparently been on the feet of some top Asian runners doing marathon times of 2 hours 8 minutes so should be a more super shoe version.

Sounds comparable to Endorphin Speed because of the flexibility of the carbon plate? Is it similar or if it differs how ?

Have you taken it out for a long run, Alex? Does it give you extra stress or pressure on your plantar fascia? I am asking as a Chinese reviewer was concern about the bridge at the midfoot area of the shoes. Since the foam and the plate are so soft, the thinner midsole due to the 'bridge' and the dug out X midsole to show the carbon plate, it theoretically weakens the midfoot area and creates an unintended flex point which could stress your plantar during run. Thus am just wondering how you feel about it as theory and actual run experience might differ..

What kind of plate is that? No way could you bend the Endorphin Pro like that!

They say it's a carbon fiber plate. There are so many different ways of making a "carbon plate" (which is never really carbon btw, but some carbon fiber attached to a composite material) that I can imagine the stiffness can go from this (provided it's really a carbon plate) to something like metaspeed where you cannot bend it at all.
