@@warrenwest6884 I'm very aware of shoe dog. I've read it. It was a brilliant read. But reading the story in retrospect is one thing - actually getting to watch a brand like this created and grown/scaled/evolved in real time is something else entirely. Imagine being able to open a Phil Knight KZbin channel, and click on hundreds of videos that show Phil setting up blue ribbon, meeting with the Japanese, creating early products. So my point stands, this is what guys like Ben are doing for the next generations.

Fantastic)) The company ideology and HR department is the most important when it comes to this. At my current work, we have a problem. Half of the team decided to write to HR department to find a solution to be able to work without pressure, anxiety and constant mental control. We've been waiting for 2 months and a half now. You try to contact them, there is just ignorance. Now with this corona-virus situation, it's all incredibly disorganised. It's surprising it's a huge company. I'm very glad you emphasise the importance of having a good team and employees. It's so important for the workers to actually feel like they are contributing to a company and their work is valued. Happy for you and the whole team at Gymshark. Great work!

Hey Ben, do you know at what point you went from being a leader *and* a do'er, to mostly or only being a leader? When did you stop "touching" things in your business, doing "tasks", etc? Was there a tipping point or a trigger? And do you think you did that at the right time, or too late? In my business (5 years old, 30 people, 2 locations), I am still "doing" lots of things - partly because they bring me joy, but partly because I feel I'm the best person to do them still. I'm sure you can relate! Thanks in advance

Excuse my language but these videos are fucking amazing! The way the gymshark culture and delegation of teams and tasks shows the collaboration the company makes. Is there any video that you could make on the biggest mistakes when first starting and the way you reflected on those Ben? Or if there is a plan to where gymshark wants to go in the next 4 quarters/ 4 years. Also do you have a voice of customer team (voice of customer analysts). This is something I really aspire to bring to gymshark in the future if the opportunity was to arise.

You probably won't remember Ben, but I met you at the very confident/verging on cocky stage of your growth as a person (understandable with what you've achieved; with a lovely Lauren Valler and a chicken restaurant)..so it's very nice to see you have definitely reigned yourself in and you come across really well in these videos. Having started my own gig a couple of years ago, this is a really helpful video. Obviously, I'm offering a service (marketing recruitment) not a tangible, do you think there's room for a more modern e-commerce approach to recruitment? Maybe add to basket areas of the process? Otherwise, Shopify isn't really essential for me. I'm dying to tear up the recruitment world as a challenger brand to the boring corps but I'm still trying to work out how. Your input would be really welcomed :) All the best with GS.

Interesting to see there is a word for someone who's different - 'culture fucker'. I'd argue that its good to have different people from different backgrounds with different opinions. Wouldn't this be the best way to create a truly modern and creative work environment? I appreciate how far Ben has come and how well the company is doing but I don't like when things seem almost incestuous. I understand Gymshark has a target audience but this is such an in-house/corporate way of doing things. I would say that I have been a 'culture fucker' at a company in the past, and I have been self conscious about not fitting the workplace criteria. I would say for the right reasons however. I abandoned ship before things got really bad and now work with a company where staff are treated fairly and the directors are sensitive to peoples needs. This way I can share the brand idea and help envisage and create its future. The company I left are now doing extremely poorly, and unfortunately for my friends and ex-colleagues that still work there, they now share my original feelings. To put it bluntly... the cultures fucked.
