India is not like other countries. There you have private organizations taking care of Railways and allied services. But India is an extremely corrupt nation - whether we like it or not. Lot of unwarranted Ghapla would happen, few specific Businessmen would get advantages over others in terndering processes and many more scams and corruptions would be happening internally (Not that corruptions and misdeeds don't happen now right under the Govt's nose, but it would become significatly much more). At least now there is some minimum transparency and CAG/Court scrutiny and auditing possible - once a private entity, many things would vanish from public eye, and Transperency would substantiallly reduce. If India was a less corrupt nation, then it could have been possible. But the sense of trust and transparency is already lacking, privatization could lead to more curtaining of information, transaction details, business deals and internal misdeeds. Also let's look at Air India privatization - has the Airline become truly better after Privatization? And the no. of passengers Air India serves every day is nothing compared to the number of passengers served by Indian Railways every minute, every second! I am not even talking about fare standardization & regulation, that's a whole separate headache which I don't wish to delve into. Right now, the Govt of India is earning sufficient tax money and sufficient profits from Rail Freight to successfully run the entire Railway Network. For the forseeable future, Railways must and should not be privatized (Sure, few specific Vande Bharat-type Premium trains can individually be privatized for the time being), but apart from that it would be a disaster for the entire country if done soon. May be ion a day when corruption reduces, and Indian become more legitimate and transparent, who knows ehen, then we can think about such measuers.

Yes last 3-4 accidents and all blame goes to drivers, Last 6 yrs no railways vacancy , overburdened in railway’s existing employees, lack of digitalisation, disfunction, covering main issues with the image of only 51 high cost bande bharat and no time information sharing,year old system in trains,no anti collision system in high speed and vibrant trains, ye sab chor ke driver k peeche pade raho isme aur v kuch accident ho jayega aankhe mud ke soya karo. Solution and govt accountability nhi chahiye aap logon ko sirf chatukarita aur common people ko blame karo aur so jao.
