I am going BD on 3rd, staying for 3 weeks and its going to be hot, like 27+ and its only getting hotter. April, its differently going to be 30 degrees plus. Also, extension lead, BD sells a lot of these...they have UK extension lead with BD plug, they cost like £4 so we didnt buy any of this when we were there last year. TIP: BD sells these Portable chargeable larger desk fans, they can last a good few hours without charging so this would be a good buy especially if the electricity goes. My husband picked one up for me, I think it was 4000 taka. But yeah, if you go March or in April, pack light colthes as it will be boiling hot.

Hey sis, we went to desh 2 weeks ago, from manchester (biman.) Currently they don't allow any oils or cleaning products in the main luggage. You may want to check with your travel agent if the airport have these rules in place when you fly out. I have heard it is just Manchester airport that has this in place and that Heathrow was fine for things like oil etc. Best to check xx

I've been to BD once at 14 with my dad and once at 26 with my sis. We don't go there since both parent side stole our land, we don't even like it there. Whenever I travel now its to Pakistan to my husbands side been there 4x now, and his planning to take me in November, i don't like to socialise or get dressed up, people talking and I don't really get on with my inlaws, too much chit chatting going on there. Since he built his own house last year things might be good, but I like my own space and backhome people constantly in ur face. I rather just stay in London, go holiday here and there in London. I like Dubai been there 4 times. Have a safe journey

salaam sister. you can take how many snacks you want as long as there in the suitcase . you cant carry snacks in your hand luggage ..but you can buy from duty free

Yes, that is true, you can take food but it can't contain liquid. My husband took snacks like chocolates ect through heathrow 3 weeks ago, nothing happened. I am doing the same, as going to BD this Friday.

I don’t know if you are going with emirates but they have a new policy where you are not allowed to take cleaning products, bleach, washing up liquid etc. they will make you take it out of your suitcase at the airport when you check in

You can’t take snacks through security, but you can buy them after going through security to take onto the plane

You can take snacks via heathrow like crisp, chocolates, sandwitches, biscuits, nuts, whatever you take MUST NOT CONTAIN LIQUID. So if you take pasta which is in a liquid sauce, they will bin that. My husband went to BD 3 weeks ago, took a whole bag of chocolates, nothing happened. My flight to BD is this Friday, and I am taking chocolates, crips and sandwitches.

@@Mannytalom458 Yeah, if you check out the website, it tells you what is not allowed. I never really took food before, used to buy it after security. My friend, she travels regulary told me, she would always take food with her and never had a issue. My husband did and he got passed security when he went to BD. I would pack my chocolates as they are for BD Family but no luggage space lol so have to carry it in the bag. But yeah, Heathrow allows dry good foods, as long as there is no liquid in the food. Never used Gatwick so not sure what is allowed but they may have changed the rules.
