His injury history was well known long before the draft. I knew all about it. Hes a good story. Got saved from a house fire as a kid in Richmond IN. But if this injury has suprised anyone in front office they are in wrong business. Another of last yrs picks had serious red flags in the injury department. So far so good on him. Wish All the best but this was foreseeable.

Well they could sign Gesicki, but one guy that could be on a new team next year is Michael Mayer. He openly stated he wanted to play with Joe Burrow before he was drafted in the 1st round, and the Raiders just drafted Brock Bowers. Maybe I am biased, but he is a local guy too.

I hate this for Eric..praying for a speedy recovery for him. TE is a question mark. Sample being a predominant blocker, Grandy and McLachlan, we just don't know what we have in them. Warren from Penn state is a solid pick, but the needs on defense might be more volatile in the 1st round. I don't see Warren falling to them in the 2nd round. Maybe a decent one will come available in FA, knock on wood or something.

we drafted another guy at TE last year and we have like 3 or 4 TEs already. Drafting a guy with 2 bad injuries (and he wasnt healed from the first ACL) and then taking the headcase Burton was stoooopid! wasted picks that could have been more helpful getting a young guard or two or a a better DT. Front office and Taylor swing and a miss. Not doing much better on contracts either. Free agent signings were not good either outside of Gesicki. Maybe if Zac can figure out how to utilize the TEs we have who can actually play would be a start.

You can't afford to lose Sample, and I would bring back Mike G. because of his ability to line up in the slot and his ability to become a big target for Burrow in key situations. You could also draft another TE while Eric All Jr. gets healthy. Eric All might be one of those players who will always be injured prone

It's not about the money, its about having a TE available for the 2025 season and beyond. He may become a liability in the future. It is risky to keep him. Cut the loss now before it becomes necessary in the future, and more costly to our offense!
