Cycling is better than vehicles as we have much learn from netherland where official people using bicycles to reach their office due to traffic congestion and reduce air pollution. As my self used to stay in BTM layout. I used to witness jam at silk board traffic signal. Its all due to corrupt politicians who are selfish think. Of themselves instead of country. Indulging petty communal politicians fooling citizens. Bring Revolution. Every country has undergone revolution. Its high time politicians get selected through upsc exams like they conduct for IAS, IPS. No pappu will become elected representatives of people.. @31-Ketan G No Ketan, with Concrete roads, the potholes tenders will not have to be given. I can actually see this issue affecting many Capital Cities of States. A lot of states reinvest money into the capital, in the process becoming overly dependent on the capital thereby seeing no diversification of a state economy and more congestion of one city. Karnataka & Bengaluru, Maharashtra & Mumbai (& Pune to some extent). I think it would be good if our states diversify their economy and have many urban centres like Germany, Funnily enough, some of our states are as big in area as Germany. This leads to less congestion and greater development of surrounding poorer regions

Just as some quick notes, it is also important to note that merely broadening roads may not be sufficient because of the concept of "latent demand" (people waiting to use the road who would not use it prior to its widening). Also, one of the most influential factors for increasing congestion is the increase in the no. of vehicles, esp cars, which occurs due to increasing prosperous population. Illegal construction by rich people seems like a secondary factor.

@Sanchitbatra Murugappaswamy My first priority is NLU Delhi coz I am from Delhi . But at the same time , I want to go to Banglore , don't know y , I feel like studying there . I don't have any proper explanation . I think I just want to go to another state and city . Btw it's little more difficult to crack Aliet , there r students who got NLSIU Banglore but not Delhi . But I am equally happy in both .

@Saumya I think u should visit Bangalore once. NLSIU is one of top law schools. It's located in Bangalore University campus outside the city. It's a beautiful campus covered completely with greenery .

This is what happens when there is a lack of proper planning and no infrastructure. When you focus all the wealth to be generated from only few cities and don't even think about developing other parts of the country or state, then the so called development turns into a disaster. Anyways it's high time that's India should stop depending only on IT jobs and instead focus on other careers also. We call our dirt filled and sewage leaking, narrows roads with traffic jammed cities as metropolitan and developed cities.

The worst part is the lack of accountability. I remember a case where a famous female bike rider lost her life to a road accident due to a pothole and the authorities simply blamed her for 'Rash driving'. Absolutely inhuman, incompetent and pathetic!

Bengaluru has been ranked as most liveable city in India and on the other hand we have this study what a contrast!
@double_courage573 жыл бұрын
That's because South Bangalore is still an awesome place to live and has managed to retain(somewhat) the old Bangalore cham. The problem is when you need to travel a distance of more than 5 km.

After living in Mumbai for 8 years, I shifted to Bengaluru in Jan 2020 and i could sense the difference in traffic on the first day itself. And i was fed up with the traffic in the first two weeks.
