I don't think so. I agree , it is not ethically right. But look at it from the business perspective. A mall is a sophisticated place. If they allow farmers dressed like this to enter then how will it look ? Their brand will get tarnished. These farmers will not bear the loss of brand value. And moreover this is not a dhoti rather a lungi. Dhoti looks formal but not a half lungi in a mall.

Recently only I went to watch kalki at Prasad in hyderabad and I saw people in dhoti and not some rich guy wearing it but a poor family who had come to watch the movie. And this is not the first time... I have seen it multiple times, though not many wear but people still come at times.... There has been no such controversy...... And it's a mall... Majority people just come for movie or just window shopping it ain't a place where only rich visit. Even when I wore a panchi some aunties were praising it to their kids..

@@prithvikumara I am the one who said it is not ethically right. Then obviously I don't have discriminatory views and I have not used any "derogatory" language. I am not against Dhoti/Panche. My friends and colleagues have worn it. Also, I have attended many weddings where it is commonly worn. All I am saying is that there is a decent and formal way to wear it. Regarding lungis, yes, I think it should not be worn in a mall but that is my personal opinion.
