"Bangalore is now mini INDIA also all major capitals are mini INDIA", we can't put boundaries to it, cities are always progressive in nature and all cities was not became great city with similar kind of people living together, but it became from different kinds of thoughts/ideas of people from different parts of country who came together and they build it. And Karnataka is big state even Telangana/ WB/ Odisha and many, and we all support to preserve our native culture and language, and we can do this in remaining part of state and we doing it from ancient time. But we have to give free hands to city, if we start forcing native culture and language on city like Bangalore/ Hyd / Kolkata/ Bhuneshwar which is just in 50KM of radius, which not going to impact our strong ancient culture throughout the state. This just degrades the motion and proggressness of the city. As all cities helps country to become economically wealthy where great minds coming together to build India as a great country and remaining parts of country will make India as culture heritage, And trust me we need both equally. "Outsiders" is just a word but people use it with their own meaning and benefits. similarly with "MY" and "OURs". Even you may also outsider for Bangalore if your actual native is other part of Karnataka. you may not impacting on language/culture but may be in demography of city, every one impacts in one or another way. @tharun838 I grew up in North India and frequented a small local Christian gathering, that spoke Kannada. It was out of my own interest. In about 10 years, I became fluent in Kannada, just like them. I learnt by listening to them speak. When I went to college in Karnataka, I lied that I was a Kannadiga. I was pleasantly surprised, there was no ragging for Kannadigas, it was exclusively reserved for the hindi boys. I escaped ragging but my classmates from the north, boy did they get beat up !!!. Ragging was really bad in the 90's. Mind you, it was 1 whole year of ragging, not just a few days or month !!! I would say, my attending the kannada gathering totally paid off.

Language should unite, not divide people. No state in India officially speaks Hindi, yet Hindi unites many states, just like English does globally and Urdu unites Muslims across India. I've never seen a Muslim brother in Karnataka demand another Muslim speak Kannada; they communicate in Urdu, despite dialect differences. This language debate is being driven by politics. I chose Kannada as the second language for my kids, but I’ve seen locals push non-Kannada speakers to use it immediately, creating unnecessary tension. Once, a Muslim brother used Hindi with a rickshaw driver, but after adding some Kannada slang, both felt comfortable. Language should not divide us. Why involve Tamil Nadu in this? Karnataka is linguistically closer to Hindi than Tamil. We should avoid following divisive paths. Also, what are we doing to preserve "pure Kannada"? The language already uses many Urdu-origin words like Khushi and Wapas. Instead of forcing Kannada, the government should offer free schools to teach it.
