If you wish, try Tatkal booking for the train. India Railway keeps some seats for urgent travel plans and the booking for those tickets starts at 10 or 11am, one day prior to the departure date. Maybe you can take help from your hotel staff or some other local to understand the tatkal booking system better

@@parikannappan1580 Difficulty depends on multiple factor. Train timing, distance, reservation class, train type etc etc. Thankfully I was always able to book a confirmed ticket through tatkal. Find a high speed internet connection, good system (try pc or laptop instead of phone), login 5 min prior to the tatkal window opening time and fill the details swiftly.

Go for TAATKAL ticket. Which opens only 24 hours ago from Trains departure time. 10 am for ac reservation . 11 am for non ac reservation sleeper class. Bus service is also good. ac sleeper class like Volvo. Chenneai is just 250 km from Bangalore. AC Volvo sleeper class will drop you from Bangalore to Chennai in 4-5 hours.

Bengaluru has KSR Bengaluru (City), Yeswanthpur, KR Puram, SMVT, and Cantonment stn for departing trains. Auto wala took them to back gate of Cant stn.

Sorry you didn't get the tickets. The railway station was not central. It is Cantonment Railway station. The auto driver took you on a roundabout route. There was a shorter route through the beautiful Cunningham Road.

Railway tickets can be booked on line using one's Mobile phone, thtough travel agents or from the Raileay Booking centres. infian Railways ticketd can be booked from anywhere in the world through internet. It is absolutely not required to go to the Rly Stn for booking tickets.

You should have taken OLA to a IRCTC booking office or done it online. Try visit nearby sites such as Vidhana Soudha (state assembly bld), High Court, UB city, etc. ALl the IT offices are not in the city but in the suburbs. Take the metro to get to some of them.
