Some of the word endings have changed making them "incomplete statements". The original is "krishna krishna endu (not embo) shishtaru peLuva ((not beduva) ashtaakshara maha mantrada namava". An excellent source for saint Purandaradasa's composition is "Purandaradasara keertanegaLu" published by Sreeman madhva siddhanta granthalaya, Udupi. It is a combined volume of earlier publications during1917 to 1932 by Pavanje Gururaja Rao through S.M.S Granthalaya, Udupi.

Soulful rendition. This is a brisk yet a sublime composition of Purandaradasar who is second in the musical lineage next to Annamayya. As you know SuddhaDanyasi Ragam is also named hypnotizing melody next to Hindolam, rendition of this song definitely keeps all Carnatic music lovers in a blissful state. Super rendition. In the last line Purandaradasar prayed to Lord Narayana ' Some how I hallowed your 1000 names and in my last breath I should chant Narayana. Ardent devotee of Lord Narayana attained salvation. I only mentioned that as per the period of Life of Annamacharya and Purandaradasar, Purandaradasar is next to Annamayya in the Carnatic music lineage i.e Annamayya lived in 14th century and Purandaradasar in 15 th century. This has nothing to do with First or Second in the Carnatic music. I hope this will dispell the misconception.

Two charanms...4 n 7 ( out of 7) are so enchanting with their soulful rendition. They coud have earmarked time for a brief vinyasam and swarakalpana ; but not happened. Though at the outset this appears to be yet another purandara dasa kriti, this is one of the toughest to render. The sisters have shown here they are in a different level here by not only bringing in their vast mastery over carnatic music, their depth of the raaga, their understanding of the sahitya and the depth of this composition, but the most important element of any purandara dasa composition the "nishkama bhakti" which lets you get close to vittala. The sisters have achieved that and they know it better. They are enjoying this rendition as they can see the vittala dancing, narayana smiling and krishna clapping..."entho purandara vittala rayana, anthya kaladalli cintiso haage"..Thank you sisters. om namao narayana. (reminds me of Maharajapuram Santhanam rendering this very composition at Rama Seva Mandli in Bangalore in the 80s )
