Beautiful board! A glider indeed! Some of the longest rides I've seen you get even on the little rollers! You'll be amazed how fast you can go through the resin right down to glass dragging a board on the sand - ask me how I know! Great to see you back in the water! Stay stoked!
@funafter50816 ай бұрын
I was gonna say the same thing about dragging it…I bet the shaper wasn’t to thrilled to see that! Cheers, John

That footage... esp the dawn sessh... is WOOOOWWWW! Cinematic! Btw, got a Wave Bandit boogie board at the meetup with Ben at Wave Hog Surf Shop, Ship Bottom, NJ There was a smth like "Surf any wave" on the insert, the board is well built, and of a good weight. And wow! It did deliver! I caught waves at lakes Erie, Michigan, Superior, and finally at the Atlantic - some was good, some was mini-novelty - and it handled them all.

While the shore break jam is a fun time,...the classic long board game is for a lifetime of adventure. You done real good Ben. Lovely looking board i made my self a 11'6" years back and rode that it all size waves stick a big wave leash on it and go out in over head waves with the paddle speed of a classic long board and rolling it on the paddle out it makes surfing big waves easy you can get in to the wave so so early its crazy .

I love my 12' Munoz Super Glide. It turns off the tail, not the rails. Drop in and run up to the middle 60's style, and walk the deck. Being a big guy helps. Good to about 8-10', and surf them off the tail in big stuff. Fade way below closeouts and glide around and back up into the next section. Do it right on a long shoal, catch the reforms, and ride in through 4-5 sections all the way to the sand. Point breaks are even better as you can paddle into the waves where the Sea Janitor SUP kooks hang out.

Skip Frye likes paradoxically smaller fins - maybe 7.5" or 8.5" for less drag/resistance - helps the board have just enough hold to keep in trim on smaller waves - you really can oversize the fins on these types of boards (my opinion).
