Both happy and upset about the Nebulax Revamp. (What I’m gonna say is likely one of, if not everything you were thinking as well) For one, I love how expressive he is. Every scene with him features character, something we didn’t get in the old game. Not only that but he has his own title now along with the rest of the boss line-up. In addition to this, seems like the devs expanded on the infinite toolkit idea that he had in the first game by adding a unique attack for each phase. And of course, as the final exam boss he was designed to be, each attack Nebulax throws is counteracted by a skill you learned playing the game. The abilities Nebulax encourages you to use likely reminding you of the fun you had while playing and how you are gonna use what you have learned to beat the alien. A fun culmination of what you have learned. Also, can I say how much I love the re-use of the original track “Come On Then” for his battle. It was such a banger track in the first game, feels great to see them tune-up the tried and true for the new game. Pays homage to all the fun we had in the first game (if you were lucky enough to get a headset at the time that is) However, I do have my gripes with his revamp. For one we don’t get to see every attack he does in one run. Playing to the rule of 3 phases, Nebulax will only use 3 attacks which is disappointing as Astro’s skills easily outnumber 3. This makes the “final exam boss” feel like he skipped a few questions to save time, rather than going all out. Speaking of going all out, Nebulax doesn’t have attack combos like he did in the first game, making the phases much shorter and thus much easier to handle. Doesn’t really feel like Nebulax stands a chance against Astro with all the incredible disadvantages the devs left him with. Bowser from Mario, a “final exam” villain we have grow comfortable with over the years, was still intimidating. The reason being that every time he showed up, you know he was gonna test your skills, he was a challenge. Every battle with Bowser made use of the mechanics in the Mario game he featured in but encouraged you to master those skills so you can challenge bowser. Without that mastery it would be much harder to defeat him. Revamped Nebulax however, feels too easy to beat even without mastery of the mechanics. Played the game myself casually and beat it within a week. About a quarter of the time I spent on the old game. Half of the time I spent in the old game was fighting Nebulax in the final showdown. However, this Nebulax is harder to compare. Not only is he weak in battle but personality wise too. He comes off as goofy, childish, and non-threatening, maybe even a character you would laugh at for their misfortunes. Not to mention the wailing he does when he is defeated. Hard to see this guy as a threat. Normally in a game like this it would be fine, however the combination of his weak physical abilities and personality is what makes him a questionable revamp. Regardless I am happy they made a sequel to this series, a blast to play and to watch. Can’t wait to see if we get a Astro Bot 3, one can hope

When I first played this VR game, I really enjoyed the cute little ship and the bots being carried. Until it all went upside down once I met the antagonist in the game, I was really scared of him because of how close he was to me. He was nightmare fuel! But then a few years later, I was no longer scared of him and faced him off in an epic battle, and I won! But then a few more years later, I found out that the evil alien is going to be back in the new Astro Bot game! My brain: HE’S HERE FOR REVENGE!!! The evil alien: Hi there, my name is Nebulax

I just noticed during nebulax revamped’s boss fight, all of the attacks astro throws was because of nebulax’s carlessness. Magnet: leaving himself vulnerable to throw the ball at and usijg cheap magnetic material that could be used to throw as him Monkey: shooting the balls to fall onto the arena and stay there to be thrown at him. Dog: carelesstly throwing the sword handle to be knocked back at him And so on

It also probably would have been smart for him to use weapons that couldn't be countered by the power ups too.

ok for the sibling thing for the astro bot sequel, i believe it count for nebulax because, look at how he looks in this game and the vr one, there is a clear difference, i hope we see more of the family tree in the obvious sequel of astro bot
@red-man7017Ай бұрын
On top of that. Nebulax in VR has a very deep sounding voice, wheras in Astro bot: Nebulax sounds different. Younger actually. Its possible that nebulax in "astro bot" is a younger sibling of the one from VR
