49:19 just wanted to remind everyone this! "they obviously got inspired by go_a" well... no. folklore develops in a different way in different places... you just don't "come up" with folklore like you do with a pop song. slavic folklore will never be the same as galician folk even if they both are traditional sounds. plus i feel like spain has been on a journey to rediscovering and revamping its own regional music styles and bringing them to modern times, and terra's case is no different! that's probably why tanxugueiras were encouraged by the public to apply. the instruments, the lyrics, the way they use their voices, all the way up to the song structure, all of it is unique to galicia and its history and culture, so i'm happy to say that tanxugueiras are no copycats. i get how not everyone is going to understand the background of it and like it though, we're all entitled to our own opinions :)

Great comment. Most of these youtube reactors dont do enough background investigation into the songs they react to. Which is a bit depressing.... They should at least make sure to know the translation of the songs title.

@@ZironixNO thank you! i'm not saying that they should know everything about the songs as it is indeed a first reaction, they also don't have to like it, but as a galician myself, i think it's disrespectful to reduce tanxugueiras to "a group that got inspired by go_a" and to not even finish listening to the song. tanxugueiras have been doing this sort of fusion between traditional and more modern galician music for years now, and it's not like go_a have been the only modernised folk entry in the history of eurovision either. people gotta be careful when they criticise folk music, there's so much history behind this song and this entry - galician was banned for DECADES while spain was under franco's dictatorship, just like all the other co-official languages that weren't spanish. even now there are people claiming that tanxugueiras "don't represent spain" because they don't represent the stereotypical image of the country. and this is a song that fights for those cultures that have been and continue to be looked down upon. that's why i honestly felt offended by that comment.

@@a_l_b_a I'm Australian and I was offended by that comment, Deban being ignorant is one thing, but being rude and disrespectful is another, he annoyed me last year over Go_A but they finished well so who cares what he thinks.

I love the Portuguese selection this year - it is by far the most interesting selection this year, but almost all the songs are nonfit for Eurovision 2022. But i love the variety of the 40s, 50s, 60s, 80s, 90s and 00s sounding songs. The best options are by far one of the 2 contemporary fado songs thoughs 😍

Despite me disagreeing a lot with William in this video we actually yave the the same top 3 favorites, and probably in same order as well out from his very last seconds comments here... I just guess I am much more positive to the other songs as well, eventhough not all would be great for Eurovision. It is an overall GREAT selection, with lots of interesting and catchy tunes. And I love the inclusion of these weird sounds and intstruments and instrumental breaks these songs have in them... Makes them stand out from all other polished songs that take part in the nordic selections and the rest of western Europe. Big shout out to Spain and Portugal for most interesting and catchy preselections this year (oh and Norway which is great (lots of catchy songs, but maybe not all so interesting) 😁

"Ay Mama" takes forever to start off and gets very repeating and even though the song try ti lift off, it is quite flat.. There is no way a flat-chested song like this has a chance of top10 in Eurovision unfortunately.
