1st time In Benidorm? March 1978 with my brother. Met who was to become my wife - married 2 years later and just celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary!! Last time in Benidorm? Few weeks ago when it rained and rained and rained all week !! Love the vlogs Lucy x

My partner and i have been coming to benidorm since 2009 my first time on a plane loved it cant get enough of benidorm wee come over 2 or three times a year been over twice this year coming back in october for another 10 days xx

I first went to Benidorm when i was 18 in 1972. Obviously a lot different to what it is now. I didnt go back till 1997 and been going every year sometimes twice since then (apart from Covid) so i think i must enjoy it. Tried other places but always gravitate back to Beni xxx

1st time 1982 with my bf & his parents. Stayed at Ruidor. Had never been abroad before- remember going to a tiny bar in the old town run by a drag queen. Had a Blue Lagoon cocktail and got v tipsy! Returned with girlfriends in 2010, last minute deal… totally loved it and been back 17times since (twice already this year.) Now feels like home from home. Love the whole of the Costa Blanca. ❤is in Benidorm. You know we love you and what you do Lucy- onwards and upwards- keep doing what you do chick. Xx

my wife and I came over at the end of March absolutely loved it , spent most of our few days in the old town and did one night in the new town , im back in September with the lads on a stag do so I'm still a benidorm virgin in that sense lol as it will be mental , hopefully my wife and I will be back again next year for a few days again

Seems like the Blackpool with sun is a running theme! I was surprised how clean it was when I first visited. I tend to give the new town a wide berth, although there are some nice restaurants there. Much prefer the vibe of the old town. Going next month and can't wait!

i was a Benidorm virgin 6 years ago and i can say it is the best place we have aver been to you have everything you want there and it is not Blackpool the views are stunning i have been coming now 6 years and my husband has been coming there for about 10 years and its nothing like the tv show Benidorm amazing place and I am always happy to go back and the Benidorm palace is amazing show you will love it it like watching a full production at London Eastend

Our first time was 2015 as i wasa late flyer, to scared to fly. We loved it. We been back most year since n back again this year. You can not beat Benidorm Sun, Sea, Sand Plenty too do and Reasonable Prices. 🙂

Definitely remember my first time! Absolutely loved it and now I want to share that so will be coming back in august with my gf and the kids. My mate on the other hand can’t see the attraction going again but then he spent everyday asleep in the hotel because he couldn’t cope with the heat and only went out at night into the new town lol

Our first time this year too, came in April, it certainly exceeded our expectations. It’s so clean, lots to do and see, weather was great too. We walked a lot, explored the old town, would of been useful to have known about this channel as newbie’s we did miss out on some areas, glad we follow you now so when we return next year we will be more knowledgeable 😉 I really had to persuade my husband to come he had a very negative view, and he can’t wait to return 😂😂

1st time was July 1979 two weeks, told to be careful in bars etc for "watered down" drinks so spent two weeks drinking Pernod "No Ice" and bottles of sprite Never touched Pernod since.

Menu del dia is my favourite Spanish lunchtime treat. First time in Benidorm we only found it offered in one restaurant. Menu of the day is usually a choice of 5 starters/ mains plus a drink and postre. Did once mistakenly order pulpo, which is octopus. For a change Alicante is not just an airport, but an old city well worth a visit if you like Spanish architecture, customs and food and 45 minutes away.

A'reyt Lucy. First time I came there was to meet my girlfriend, who had a holiday already booked. I arrived with my rucksack and could only get one night in a hotel at short notice, but I was used to backpacking, not suitcase holidays. She had booked me a flat for the week, when I got there. I expected Blackpool and wanted to see historic Spain, but I enjoyed it, which was the main thing.

Hi Lucy my first time in Benidorm 1973 as a 12 year old with my Parents and two sisters looking at the faded receipt half board including flights 389 pounds. i live in the south of England and mostly when i say I'm off to Benidorm people say oh how could you. A lot of the people you interview tend to be Northamptonshire north wards I'm afraid like in England it is the old North South divide .And for many Southerners when they see all these Bars and hear continually of Stags and Hens Benidorm lives up to its Stereotype we keep hearing about Blackpool by the sea not so much Bournemouth by the sea there in lies the problem. i personally have a lovely time there and some of the scenes behind you in this video looked Gorgeous David

Friends dragged my wife and i kicking and screaming to Benidorm in 1989 and have returned at least once every year since,except for covid years.Apart from the usual clubs on the strip we loved the singing bars such as the traffic lights,boulevard,dolly daydreams,shooters,palladium etc and all gone now apart from shooters.A whole generation of great singers dead and gone.Still we still come and enjoy ourselves.

My first time 20 years ago , the thing that sticks out was the then thomson rep on the coach from alicante saying if this us your 1st timevto benidorm then i promise you you'll come back ...and i did 35 times ...not been since december 2019 though . Proof if it were needed that the people who slag Benidorm have never set foot in the town.I have personally recommended Benidorm to a great many friends/ family and work mates,not one complaint in 4o years.Some found it a bit rough and ready in the early days but almost all have gone back many times.The Benidorm disease!.

My first trip was 1979, three lads on tour. Got ripped off the first night. £1 a pint in one bar then £3 in the next. There seemed to be more excursions then. I remember a trip into the countryside that included a donkey ride. There was the BBQ with unlimited wine too - mix the red and white to make rose! A medieval banquet with knights jousting, sadly a bit dull, possibly because there wasn't any free wine. And we were entertained at the relatively new Benidorm Palace. The bouncers patrolled the place carrying big batons: we behaved ourselves. Can't remember the strip or the Square, possibly they came later. The hotel entertainment was pretty good, we did venture to the old town though and I'm pretty sure we went to Vincents. A good holiday. Not seen the other two guys for several decades now.

First time I went I went on a stag do with a group of RAF lads who'd just come back from a tour of duty and we're up for a good time. The second night we went to see someone called Sticky Victoria. The things we saw during that show will remain with me forever. I've never or since seen anything like it. The act reduced the battle hardened RAF lads into utter silence. They we're never the same again for the rest of the holiday. 😂

You're not far from Tapas Alley there, loads to try in that area. Also Tapas Square which we did a video on a while sgo. For a good English brekkie round there I'd recommend Caspers and Refuel 👍 Enjoy x

I went on June 3rd and left on the 10th, stayed at the avenida, really good location, I found the old town really good, also calle gerona is fantastic for bars, the stag and hen parties were really well behaved, only down side I found was the sheer amount of vomiting going on, it was from one end to the other, it's not the best setting for a drink

Yes. But I prefer Torremolinos, which has a more diverse nightlife. Like Pattaya, but without 12 hours on a plane. Benidorm doesn't cater for singles IMHO, so have not returned since my partner died. Great for couples/families/stag parties etc.

Hi I have been to Benidorm last November for the very first time and once is enough for me. The weather was lovely and sunny warm but not to hot and humid just right. The Don Pancho Hotel was lovey one of the best hotels I have stayed in and the food was excellent. The Old town is lovely and historic with quaint narrow streets and beautiful, the promenades are lovely and the beaches looked lovely to. The majority of Benidorm is just one club and bar after another. The resort sadly caters for those who like to drink lots of booze, watch sleazy and none sleazy entrainment, laying by a pool and sun bathing on the beach so if you are not into that there is not much for you in Benidorm.

Just come back from Benidorm today Thursday 22nd June. Great place. Beach cleaned every day. Only downside is the very smutty tea shirts on display. Not very family friendly as every shop selling t shirts have the sleazy ones on the front display. Quit embarrassing for many parents. Think the authorities need to address this
