Touche Turtle & Dum Dum is an old Hanna-Barbera cartoon, Madge does look a bit like him 😂 The Wilhelm Scream is still going strong! It’s used more for comedic purposes now, though lol

I'm kind of with you on the idea of Mick spitting beer being improvised, but I disagree about Michael's reaction. If that wasn't planned, Michael's instinct would have been to laugh, kids find that kind of thing hilarious. Yes, he's an actor, but even adult actors struggle to keep from laughing at something scripted, nevermind improvised. His scared face could be from a direction given to look shocked? Obviously as a child actor, his range of shocked faces will be quite limited. In terms of him being in the firing line, there's a bit of a showbiz trick at play, I suspect.... In a lot of TV shows when people are around a table, or appear to be sat opposite eachother, they're not actually looking where they appear to be. For instance, 2 actors that are supposed to be talking face to face over a table will be seated so that there eye-line reaches a few degrees to the side of their co-star so that they're not actually looking at them. Harder to do for some actors because they can't play off reactions, but it allows the camera can catch their face at the best possible angle. But this is only when the focus is on one character, they are of course actually facing one another when the shot widens, but for close-ups, they'll use that bit of trickery because it gives a better shot and shows more of their face than it would if they were actually facing eachother. Mick and Janice were supposed to be face to face during that scene, so it's likely his beer DID go in Michael's direction by mistake, because he was FACING Michael, in order to appear to be facing Janice, hence the shock on his face.
