I love the Garveys but I think the Dawson's were just as good. Just a bit different. I find that they did a really good job of following up where the Garveys left off. Grandma Loretta is brilliant, the granddad is funny, the kids are cool and Sheron and Billy are poetically sweet. And all well acted.

Just rediscovered Benidorm. Forgot how good it was and so different to normal sitcoms, it is more of a soap com in which comedy meets soap like storylines such as Chantelle's pregnancy.
