Interesting information. Thanks. Can you do a pre and post mod chrony test please? Also, instead of making the hammer spring stiffer - how about softening the valve spring? - just a thought
@pitbull_airguns6 жыл бұрын
We will get a video on that very soon. As for the valve spring, can completely leave the valve spring out if you want. You have to make sure that the gun is standing barrel up and the gun cocked to make it fill from 0 pressure. But as long as you don't ever let it go empty it fills like normal. That tends to give you around 20 to 25 fps
@ralstonraz6 жыл бұрын
@@pitbull_airguns not sure if the valve will be able to return back quickly after each shot, alternatively there would be excess dumping of air without the valve return spring. Did you take off the valve return spring in this to achieve the 240-300 Ft Lb you mentioned? Because you did not mention about the valve spring in the video.
@pitbull_airguns6 жыл бұрын
I've reached 240 to 270 without removing the spring but to get to that 300+ mark then yes it would need to be removed. Sorry didn't mention it in this video but i have mentioned it in one of my other ones.

Is there supposed to be a Grubb screw underneath the fastener that holds the shroud On. When you slide the shroud off there's two holes the front hole I'm the back hole. The front one holds the shroud the back one is what holds the barrel in place. At least that's how I think it's supposed to be but mine has. A? Gross crew in. The front hole Also. Another great video. I'm wondering if the increased energy is affecting accuracy for the various bullets.
@nsboost2 жыл бұрын
Yes.. it will without a doubt. That’s the problem with mods on guns like this. It will change everything. It wouldn’t be a problem if you had a externally adjustable regulator. Then you could dial your regulator and hammer spring in and get the gun shooting well. If you want to see what I’m talking about. Watch videos on guys tuning their FX impact m3.

The hole in the reciever is already the size of the N size drill bit. There is a small plastic bushing in there that reduces the size. You just need to take that out.

@pitbull_airguns6 жыл бұрын
David Harrison Remove the plastic cheek pieces and then take out the barrel. You can now get out the jammed slugs
@stephenmartin83316 жыл бұрын
My Bulldog came with a plastic bore rod for pushing the bullet back out if it is stuck in the barrell. If the magzine is stuck in the gun, then find out if the slugs were too long and the magazine was forced in, ans the projectiles are preventing removal. At worst, the person shooting did not know that the magazine has a stopper that prevents closing the bolt when then magazine is empty and forced the cocking handle forward, piercing the stopper and preventing the bolt from retracting to remove the magazine.

@@pitbull_airguns that's good, right? I think my number is 260 fpe to get the nsa 142gr moving over 900 fps. I hope that gets me out to 200 yards with enough accuracy for a coke can kill. Is that reasonable or expecting too much from the bulldog? I plan to use your barrel shims and the mega or long moderator.
@pitbull_airguns4 жыл бұрын
@@markmtbrider yes sir, it's definitely a good thing. A coke can at 200 is definitely doable but probably not every shot. The more time you spend behind the trigger is going to increase your chances and your accuracy. But to start with I would plan on seeing grapefruit accuracy then work towards the coke can size.
@paulid44145 жыл бұрын
I'm not understanding the math here. If you start with a 7mm hole and increase it by 50 percent that equals more that the bullet . .302 " = 85 percent of the bullet size.

Helium? you can replace the air in a pcp with helium to get better performance
@pitbull_airguns4 жыл бұрын
In a PCP air rifle, if you use Helium instead of Air it will normally double the foot pounds of energy. You must have good seals and I've seen some guns that could not handle the extra power. But a bulldog can.
@tylerferrell29594 жыл бұрын
@@pitbull_airguns is it a higher pressure or Is it because helium is lighter than air
