I so love when I find an artist as brilliant as Benjamin Clementine after he's been on the scene for a couple of years so that I can be reminded of how vast the world is and how very little of it I discover. Finding this artist is a real high point.

Oh yes, I know Aurora's. Such a beautiful and ethereal artist! I think my favourite tune by her is Running with the Wolves, followed by Runaway. I've been surprised she hasn't become more of a global phenomenon, but in a way I'm glad she hasn't. With success seems to come the pressure for more success which often seems to erode the quality of an artist's work. Anyway, Lukas, thank you for the recommendation!

A friend posted this on FB and I watched the video. I immediately thought it looked like the Burren in Co. Clare Ireland. I was there in early October. A beautiful, majestic place with so much ancient history a flora and fauna. I think it was artistic license to film it in b/w. I have amazing pics in color.

Last year I listened to Benjamin's voice for the first time through his song with Gorillaz. Just few days ago, I was bored with the music I was listening to and decided to listen to something "new" on Spotify. Suddenly his name came to my mind so I clicked this album. It's a blessing. Really worth my time. One of the best albums I've ever known. I bet he's great for live show. Fave tracks: Condolence, London, Adios, Nemesis, Gone, Winston Churchill's Boy, I Won't Complain.

This is a rollercoaster. The song builds and builds and builds, never quite getting to the pay off. It is like Benjamin is taking a running jump at getting to the crescendo, it peaks in the music but every time not quite getting there. And then Benjamin at 3:16 tries again and reaches the peak at 3:43, and from that point we're absolutely flying downhill. That fade out just leaves you wanting more, so I press repeat.
