I just want to fully understand the implications. The questions you are reading there Mary are good and valid but the general advise to boys and girls out there is, practice patience and delay your sex issues till you mature(Finish education, get a job, move away from your parents to your own cube then start dating) Premarital counseling is key to success in marriage guys. We are there for you. Do not rush to marriage before you go through the critical stages (dating, courtship then marriage) The lady with a kid must first wind up divorce proceedings if she had married legally and she needs to be very careful by putting her son first priority not men or love because many guys taking women with a son never do it with their full heart.......if you understand what I mean. On the same count, be careful not to be over protective. If you show too much love to your son but refuse your new guy a chance to be his father figure freely, it is very dangerous. He will think you married him for his money or comfort. Its very tricky. I will suggest you seek proper counseling or coaching to avoid being beaten twice. Love is great but never engage at the expense of an innocent child you sired with another man ladies.

A break works if there is a commitment by both parties to improve. My spouse and I "took a break" two years ago for 2 months and it made us realize we were worth fighting for. He made a lot of changes and has maintained those changes. We are much happier now. When you take a break, just enjoy your separate lives, spend time with family and friends and really take the time to think. Don't force the other person to try and come back and don't date other people!
