This isn’t the voice I was expecting, but I think he’ll be a good fit for Lucifer. I kind of expected him to have a deep British voice (kinda like a more ominous and villainous Stolas voice) or be just straight up voiced by Weird Al since that’s what Viv said she wanted. He might put on a British accent, though, like Bryce Pinkham does for Stolas because I’m pretty sure he’s not actually British.

Whatever I wanted to do. But here's the thing, I'm now 46, wheelchair enabled and chronically ill. I can't afford lessons, let alone try to break into the music business now. I'm absolutely furious with myself that I didn't stand up for myself as a child and get those singing lessons. 😢😢😢 However, I am doing something that I love and have always felt called to. Anyone else tear up when his face spoke volumes about how crushed he was? JEREMY DESERVES BETTER!!!
@kaleighwiens18603 жыл бұрын
I just watched the actual BTS video and at first when Hugh jumps in, Jeremy deals with it super graciously; and then the camera pans to him later and he looks so angry and crushed my heart just broke for him!
So let me get this straight. This man paid for his own Ticket to go and get this movie funded because they didn't have a Budget (which leads me to believe He wasn't paid for the singing as well) , he sang basicly every Song of the movie nearly destroying his voice in the process and didn't get the part let alone any praise? Please tell me they at least paid him afterwards? What the hell

I'm not really understanding how a very rich celebrity like Hugh couldn't afford an airplane ticket or producers couldn't? Something doesn't sound right about that story. If they didn't want to fly him out, that sounds like they didn't want him. It actually sounds more like he went to an audition & the cost would be on him & he bombed with his vocals at the audition & so they passed. But it definitely sounds like he needs an agent and a manager to handle his career.
@ghostbaron23 жыл бұрын
@@stanleyjames7567 Uhhh, you do now Jeremy Jordan is an extremely successful actor right? I think he’s handling his career very well. Unfortunately, the performance world is cut throat and is full of people who don’t care much about your feelings or struggles. This could’ve very well been possible exactly as he described it. It’s also not up to Hugh to pay for some random guy’s ticket to fly out there to perform the songs and the movie was most likely pretty expensive and as described, they had no budget to be spending what they feel is an unnecessary fee. It sucks that Jeremy got screwed like that. I’m glad he has been able to still be successful and use this experience to do a performance like this.
@stanleyjames75673 жыл бұрын
@@ghostbaron2 What are you, his agent? Take a chill pill. Actually he isn't that successful. He only has a little over 200k following on Twitter. His story about getting the movie greenlight doesn't make since at all. Considering the fact that even Hugh & everyone involved in the movie has given the credit for getting the greenlight to Keala Settle. That's been on KZbin for years now her & the chorus in New York recording the song "This is Me" & that was what got the greenlight. So why did Hugh Jackman go to New York for her but, not for him? & he had to pay to go to LA? Sounds like to me he is taking the credit from Keala Settle. PS Zac Efron has over 15 million followers on Facebook.
@ghostbaron23 жыл бұрын
@@stanleyjames7567 I didn’t realize success was solely based off of how many followers you have on Facebook or Twitter. Jeremy Jordan has been active in film/stage work since 1995. He was in a plethora of massive musicals including; Waitress, The Last Five Years, Rock of Ages, West Side Story, Heathers, Newsies, Finding Neverland and Little Shop of Horrors. He is one of the most well known male stage actors of all time and has landed roles in a handful of tv shows and movies as well. He was nominated for Grammys and a Tony and won a World Theater Award. And he has a net worth of $3 million. I’d say that qualifies as successful. Especially for someone who primarily works in theater. His story is accurate. Sure, he could be exaggerating for his show, but he did kinda save their butts by covering for Hugh Jackman as well as singing all of Phillip’s parts. He also recorded the demos just to help out. I just don’t like when extremely talented people are disrespected for no reason. It wasn’t an audition and he didn’t bomb it. Also, he was contacted to help out, not the other way around. He wasn’t blaming anyone for anything. He was looking back at a rough time in his life and using it as show material in a therapeutic way.

Knowing this story and going back to watch the "viral video" gives me a whole new perspective on it. It's no one's fault for who did and didn't get the role or how it all turned out. In Jackman's eyes, he was coming in at the end to show the producers that yes he could sing, and he did it when it mattered most. He wanted to show his commitment to the project and how seriously he intended to take it. On Jeremy's side, he had a not so good performance earlier in the demo, so he was using this as redemption only for it to be swept away from him after the song had started. But he still sung along with everyone else and (at least he looked this way) was having a good time, even interacting with Hugh in that moment. It is unfortunate to put in all this effort and work, show up when they call and need you only for them to call on someone else who wasn't even there, but sometimes that's just how show business works. Jeremy is still a class act actor and is outstanding in his field/everything he does, even if it's just something small like a demo and there's a reason they called on him to do this for the film. It's just a sad story with a hopeful epilogue of letting go, moving on and looking forward to what's ahead❤

Wishful thinking. Hugh is a douche.

Like imagine Jeremy and Cynthia Erivo as a more mature version of that couple!!!! Cynthia would have been a beast at the trapeze

agreed! i love zendaya and i don't mind zac, but they made the movie feel more disney-ish, being younger former disney stars.

@@sopheverlasting That was the point. It was a kids and family movie.

Spread this everywhere! Jeremy deserves recognition for all he did for this film.

I seriously need him to play Fiyero in the upcoming Wicked movie adaptation! He's got the pipes, the looks, the charisma, and the acting chops! It's high time that he's finally cast in a big movie musical!!! Don't let him slip away again, Hollywood! 🙏🙌

Jeremy needs to star in a Broadway adaptation of The Greatest Showman. Also, I'd gladly pay to see the full video of Carry On (better yet a national tour with a stop in Chicago)!

A Chicago stop would be awesome if he does tour one day. Only 40 miles north of the City of Big Shoulders. :-)

Jeremy has showed me that even through hurt, denial, and the pain of getting something you dreamed of taken that you can still be the greatest showman even without the title in ligjts

I love Hugh and Zac playing this role. They did great! But he will be great for the musical too. ❤
