Same reason it took years to bring Aladdin to Broadway. Having to figure out how to bring cool special effects to live stage performances every night that's also safe. And within a suitable budget. I bet Disney Theatricals is still brainstorming on how to do it.

I met Zachari Levi at Salt Lake FanX in March and he could not have been nicer, he even gave me "the smoulder" when I asked, and I swear it was exactly like Flynn, they had to have done facial capture recognotion or something. I got a pic, its on my wall of fame. he's so sweet he was only scheduled for one day but he said he loved us so much he stayed for 2! we were stoked! Salt Lake City is the new coolest con in the world!

Even more reason TO HIRE HIM FOR A BROADWAY PRODUCTION OF TANGLED DISNEY YOU COWARDS. His voice is somehow better than the original movie now, they can get popularity bc he was the original Flynn, and generally HE WAS THE OG FLYNN (they can even take his recent solo from the tangled tv show and use it in the musical, with some retooling it’d fit), he’s a broadway vet and Tony nom so he’d be used to the grind, HE CAN DO THE DAMN SMOULDER, and he’s generally perfect for the part w/out all of that like did Disney model Flynn after him? Bc it kind of looks like it.

Edward Kenway Well, the ability to sing well is not always inborn but can come with good training and hard work. Just look at Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash). When he was a kid he couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, but he was insanely good at tap and dance. Still wanting to get into musical theater, though, he took voice lessons and worked hard at it. He now has a good voice and exercises excellent control over it.
