Thanks for the quick release on tips! Something else I found helpful: after scoring, retreat to about midfield and hover near the sidelines while facing your opponent’s rings. This gives you plenty of time to isolate their chasers and attack them from the sides (as opposed to head on). Even if you fail to tackle them from the side, it’s much faster to turn 90 degrees and continue the pursuit than having to do a full 180 and catch up, which you likely won’t be able to do. 🏆

I don't claim to be the #1 player but I still consider myself a decent player and with that said I have some additional tips for each role: 1. Seeker: If you lose the direct sight of Snitch (let's say it's behind you), just tap the focus so you can see where it's heading so you can adjust your flight and not lose the momentum on chasing. 2. Beater: Try to stay above the action so you can spot your targets easier and it's less likely to be punched by occasional Chaser. Also if your Chasers are doing well - focus on enemy Beater so your team can feel safer. 3. Chaser: You can actually finish what Beater had started, so if you see the low-hp enemy player, try to score the KO. 4. Keeper: Same as Seeker. If action is going on behind your rings - tap that focus button to see what's going on and react accordingly. Also your kick is the second damaging thing in the game so if enemy tries to stick nearby - don't hesitate and make your beater's life easier.

I love this game; biggest tip is play the story mode a bit before tryna really mess with the 3v3s and it seems when you upgrade the position the bots benefit from your upgrades as well so positions you dont play as much are good to level so the bots will be decent in those positions.

Having just started playing yesterday, I can see a good seeker is vital. I was close to getting stomped in two games, but the seeker snatched the snitch TWICE in a game which just put us well ahead.

I just played my first Seeker 3v3 today, we were losing terribly but I got the Snitch in a few seconds difference both times, so we won 80 to 70. It actually makes a huge difference - but remember it's not your Seeker's fault if the opponents get the Snitch twice too. Beaters need to help them out a lot.

I would love to see you going more into tactics emerging from how you spend your skillpoints. For example how the volley shot at the end of quaffle handling opens up passing and goal shooting opportunities, or how the seeker can steal snitch meter from the enemy seeker or 'bump' bludgers back on the enemy beater.

​@@shell_yeah_ feels the same as penalty shots in football. It's almost impossible for a keeper to correctly guess the correct side when the players are really close. But that makes the role in my opinion a lot more rewarding if done correctly. I noticed nobody in online mode likes to play keeper but I'm really loving it. It feels supernice to actually save a shot of a real player. The bot keeper wil almost always fail the real player shots, so getting a few saves can really help with winning. Also an added bonus (in my opinion) is that a keeper plays 90% of the time as a chaser, which is just a superfun role as well and can decide the game even when the opponents seeker catch all the snitches.

Stay on the middle goal so you only have to block left and right. Also only goal keep when theres distance between chaser. Its easier to block when theyre throwing from 10+ meters away. When they start getting close, when most aim changers do, Dont be afraid to be aggressive.. come out of the goal and kick them

Most success I've found with the people that are trying to get close enough to mess you up with those, is to go aggro and push up and kick them. I've noticed 2 types of chaser shots. Snipers who try to shoot at you from a bit of a distance, these can usually be defended via a recenter/pullback+dive. Jukers, these guys like to come at you either head on or from an angle, usually coming very close to the hoops before releasing the quaffel. These guys, push into their face to close their angles. They don't have options, that way, then you kick them in the face. Generally, you mostly get Jukers, so they're easier to practice against. Remember, the game is intended to be very physical, use violence. Being an aggressive defense/keeper is an option, think like in football/soccer. The keeper is often running away from the goal to close down a striker. The biggest note to give, though, is play a tournament or two exclussively playing the keeper on 3 stars or more. Force yourself to endure the training of a hail of shots. Practice is your best friend. Tldr, don't get too comfortable sitting in your hoops. Move forward a bit to close angles, use your whole box. Play against bots using just keeper for a tourney or 2.

Stogging (Gang tackling the Keeper so the third Chaser gets an open goal) is allowed in this game, but unless you play purely online with a team, the Bots don't do this. Keepers can be freely targeted so long that they don't have the Quaffle. This was how my Beater gained skills quickly and rack up Platinum badges (Knocking out the Keeper 5+ times) in lower difficulties. It's similar to how an enforcer in ice hockey would screen the opposition goaltender so they can't see the puck well.

@@gingercupcakesweeets4654 Directly pointing towards the just-shot enemy bludger and then pressing RB (xbox controller user for me), same button as the bludger-summoning default button. You can "intercept" the enemy bludger JUST when its flying on the trajectory between the enemy beater (who just shot its bludger) and your chaser/seeker/keeper. If i'm not mistaken. P.S.: it's important to note that you can't just hold forever this stolen bludger, if you hold it for too long it will revel against you, taking some health and stunning you for a second.

When my teammate has the quaffle, I like to let them fly about 10m directly in front of me and just play defense against other chasers coming from behind (and also making it harder for a beater to specifically target the quaffle holder)

Questions I’ve got on the game - 1) in my game I can’t update any skill past the 4th skill item (even if I have spare skills points available for that position) - is this a glitch in my game or a level/ progression lock? 2) Is there a max level a broom can be upgraded to? 3) I’ve reached Level 40 and unlocked the Nimbus - is it better than my upgrade Cleansweep/ worth putting points into, I assume Firebolt is the best broom in the game and worth saving upgrade points for?

For chasers: master the shovel pass as soon as you can. Once you do you never go back. You can use it to pass of course but also to set up one timers, self-pass, and more. I only use the standard pass if my target is directly in front of me-otherwise, shovel pass.

Do you have a tipp how to do so? I am still a bit confused how the shovel pass works. Sometimes I throw the ball sideways behind me and it lands in the hands of a team mate but sometimes i just throw it up in the air and not team mate is getting it. So where does a team mate need to be so i can shovel pass and how do I aim?

@@LowPitchi the shovel pass is directional. So if you hold RS to the left/right you’ll shovel pass it left/right. Up will send it straight up and down will send it backwards. If there’s a teammate in the direction of your shovel pass (usually the blue arrows are a good indicator) the quaffle will target that player, otherwise you’ll just launch it in that direction (which has uses of its own) Go into the free practice with just you and some friendly chasers to practice the shovel passing, that’s how I did it and got it down in about half an hour.

What is a shovel pass man?

@@GoodDay1 Right stick in a direction + Y will perform a shovel pass (essentially a “no look” pass). If there’s a friendly chaser near in that direction (look for blue arrows) the quaffle will go to them. If nobody is there then you essentially launch the quaffle in that direction. Useful for passing and also banking, self passing, and setting up one timers

Everything I do is silver quality or higher except "bumping the opposing seeker twice" as a seeker which can only be done once a game... Good set of tips. However, I would like to point out that there's now a number of non-gamers getting into gaming.. the non-gamer HL crowd now getting involved with a competitive Quidditch game. For these people (which includes me) how about some hardware reviews that could improve/enhance the team play aspect.. such as gaming headphones. Quidditch Champions does support voice and players can talk to their team, issue change of tactics and strategy. Currently I am traveling and my Razer headphones with a microphone is back home in Florida, so I don't have my gaming headphones with me. I am now looking for a replacement gaming headphones, but which one is good?

you can respec the skills if you want to try a new role but also if you are doing the solo mode you only need to prioritze the seeker and chaser skills in that order. then you can adjust to a role for online but beating and goal keeping are not significatn on solo campaign

Any tips for Keeper-ing? If you've played against Players, you know as well as I do, catching the quaffle is all but impossible. Especially if the player Chaser gets in close. There will not be enough time to react from them throwing the ball to you moving to the ring. And you can't move in to kick them, because the kick's hitbox doesn't reach that far! The quaffle just sails past my kick, every time, 100% of the time, unless I'm directly in front of it.

@@seriousdraw haven’t been able to test it out but reportedly the keeper ability that lets you charge your kick increases the keeper hit box by a ton, making up close saves a lot more practical. I’ll try it out later and see how it works.

I main Keeper, and tbh you never have to place the rings manually unless you never switch to play Chaser (which is rarely the case). The AI is usually very proficient at placing the rings for you while you play the role as Chaser.

When making a play forward as a Chaser/ Keeper while the Snitch is out, your other Chasers will likely be bots, as your team mates will hopefully be playing Seeker and Beater. This can be a great advantage if you keep your eyes on the AI team mates, because you can pass the ball to them and directly ask for it back and they will almost always respond to your calls for the ball. Closing up on the goal posts, then passing the ball to the bots to trip up the Keeper, just to reposition and ask for it back from a better scoring position is a great play very few people are doing atm.

​@@navaronehartman8880my best tip for that is simply: take your time. The only time you actually need to know which player is wich is when you play with a beater. And when you play with a beater just sometimes fly slower and take in the whole game. Also you can spot other beaters more easily by looking for the enemy bludger, as they often are close to it. The seeker is the hardest one to spot. But if you spot your own teams seeker you can just follow them because they are oftentimes close to the opponents seeker as well.

I'm not a good keeper but I do save some but usually I let them score and I score back, my main positions are chaser and seeker, I can't see who is who when I'm the beater I just focus on the chasers scoring well so I can let the PC handle the chasers when I switch to the seeker and my problem as a seeker is I'm too fast sometimes I miss the golden snitch's ring like I lost a game and my catching miter was full but I couldn't press LT fast enough because I'm already too fast for it but eventually I learned how to drift and bounce back but seriously the easiest way to catch the snitch is letting the PC do the chasing and I switch to catch it

Great tips! I actually have a question about dodging bludgers, in your clip you dodged upwards but whenever I press the dodge button it always rolls me to the right which makes it so that I can easily be hit by bludgers coming from my left. How do you dodge a specific direction?

You can customize it in settings. There’s lots of button layouts you can rewrite. But also there two different presets for controls there.

As a beater... How do I lock on to enemy bludger? The tutorials don't tell me. And every time I focuse it always shows my teams bludger

​@@BenjaminSnowAh.. Well when you do figure it out, don't hesitate to let us know. I can tell you from what I've discovered though.. Seems there is but a short window to lock on. Very brief, but if you can catch the bludger before other beater expels it or summons it, you get a button prompt. Once caught though you need to release quickly

I think you can "call" the enemy bludger when it's being directed by the enemy beater, so if the enemy beater throws the bludger to your seeker, if you are close enough you can call that bludger and use it yourself. I might be wrong, but that's how I understood how it works atm

I assume you're talking for pvp? Bc when playing pve there's no way to pass the quafle bc my teammate chasers are 90% of the time behind me.

I can not beat even the bots how I am supposed to play PvP? *sigh* Are their some flying tipps out there? Like the first training tournament was easy but the normal Hogwarts is hard for me. Lost twice by now (Hufflepuff and Slytherin) and now I am trying to find tipps. I gave my seeker the legacy broom but for any love I am unable to catch the snitch now... I am a bit at a loss. Will try practice now, but I would really love some flying tipps... because I really suck at it.

It's pretty cheesy. But the gameplay is fun and well polished I like it a lot.
