Mel's Japanese is more fluent than Benji when she spoke with their grandparents in the old videos. Benji has the American accent and his "itadakimasu" sound like a child, she sounds closer to native speaker and smoother. In terms of reading, I remember her using Google Translate before too, so probably she's not really good with kanji.

@@nancyfarkas3592 I believe he is teaching them about hard work and responsibilities, for some child it feels good to have money saved and rewarding to be able to buy what u want. I remember when I was younger in saved up money and then my grandma ends up borrowing it when she needs it , no money. It feels good to be able to help out. I also remember buying her shoes out pf 10$ that was in the 90s converting peso to dollars, to spend it all for herself, i learned giving and sharing becuase she was my role model. I learned it from her ☺️🌷🌹💓

Strawberries are so delicious when they are dark red. ❤️🍓🍰🤤 I thing they really should sell also savory food, so that you don’t get too used to the sweets too much and leave. They could fry the strawberries in dough or sell meat with a strawberries sauce on the side for example.
