If the growlight shining through ever bugs you, you could definitely layer the fabric! that way the dark fabric could black out the light nicely and you could use a lighter fabric on the outside

For 15 years now, I've just grown microgreens in mason jars like my hippie mom before me, I have 1 to 3 jars going a week and they take up so little space! Rinse with water once a day and leave them to drain behind my kitchen window herbs. Love watching the evolution of your space as you live in it and see what works!

Replacing your blinds with some other ones, like maybe bamboo or cotton shades, would go a really long way for 'warming' up the space and making it look less sterile! Plus it would also help with the heat while still letting light in :) your place is looking great

I love every new video that shows the Passiflora in the kitchen. It has grown out so much from when it first got placed there. My Passiflora vine came a few weeks ago, and I thought it would die. I watered it for a few days, though, and it got super healthy again. I took cuttings only a few days after shipment, and the mother plant already has a ton of new growth and the propagations are doing amazing!

Mushroom, leafy greens (my friends regrow sweet potato leaves and water spinach from Asian stores) etc. That would be so fun to explore with your beautiful set-up designs! even though there was no practical purpose for it, I really loved how hanging the wind chimes on the pot hooks made the kitchen feel more cozy and homey, reminds me of my nan's home where she'd have a bunch of little chimes and trinkets strewn around the house

love the magnetic spoon holder idea! The fan is called an 'exhaust hood' or just a 'kitchen hood' But I would definitely not keep the spoons above the pot while cooking, the rising steam will heat up the handle and burn your hand :( Maybe during serving would be okay though!

I just got my first Anthurium and would love to hear any advice you have about them (if it interests you to do so). I noticed in the one plant tour video your friend JiaHao had them in plastic cups. I'm cheering for you lil baby Staghorn you gotta represent! The velcro towel in the kitchen you could easily change it out per season to change up your look you could even do a pop of orange there for a color block look. You could take any color in the ktchen run to match it up with the cabinet towel.

The same happened to my avocado plant and I cut the top with dead leaves off. The stalk got stronger and sprouted more growth points. Granted, I was trying graft 2 stalks together, but still. Also, if you use a little green dust ( you're from UCSC) in the dirt, it won't go through as much shock. :)

When people could not afford plywood & hinges for cupboard doors they strung a thin curtain rod & hemmed long fabric so that they could gather it onto kitchen cupboards or close doorways. The fabric allowed more air movement which was important before central heating so that stored things did not mold due to long periods of cold-dampness. Also a good way to make things look personalized for cheap.

i think you should switch your tv and mirror, turn the couch 180 degree and put it in the middle of the room, leaving the space between your couch and your mirror as a walk way. Would also look nice and functional
