Hey just a little idea for you for your balcony and keeping your plants safe, you COULD build a little "catio" just enclosing that space a little bit. That way nothing can get in, you can still have the freedom to look out and what not but sun can get in, the animals stay safe and your plants also stay safe since nothing could get in~! PLUS it could give you a few spots for plants higher up (Like hanging plants on the netting, making little shelves etc.)
@benjiplant15 сағат бұрын
That would be a dream! I'll need to look into how to set one up. The balcony is quite large... maybe I'll ask my dad to do it with me lol

Benji I'm looking forward to your plant market pop up in Nov.... I have mobility issues and I'm hoping it won't be chaotic and I can meet you and make a purchase or so. I doubt if you have to worry about small crowd.... or whether you're gonna sell out, ...Social media Influencers on your level are treated like celebrities especially in LA... I usually get push around so I no longer attend certain events . Best success to you

I put the U shaped landscape staples in my pots and boxes - upside down and sticking up from the soil - to deter the squirrel digging. We, too, are surrounded by trees and it’s a constant battle! I still find a peanut buried every once in a while but it does help! (And it’s inexpensive! Always good - more plant money!)

the pots I used are all Hasami Porcelain pots. They're available online from different retailers. I recommend purchasing them from an online shop called greener grass design. They often have sales or discounts going on, and it's very rare to find Hasami Porcelain on sale! Their site looks a little bit sketchy tbh lol, but they're good.

One thing I was wondering about, when you use top dressing, and repot/don’t like it, how do you sort the top dressing from the rest of the soil? A sieve? Sort them manually? Love your videos always ❤️ edit: continuing watching your video I do see you are using a tiny sieve lmao. but my question still stands I think?
@benjiplant15 сағат бұрын
I get as much top dressing out as I can, but it's fine if it mixes a bit with the soil when you're repotting. I treat it like a soil amendment.
