FYI--There are no prices on the plants because Flower District shops do a lot of plant rentals and bulk plant selling (events, etc.) The price would vary depending on what you want to do, as well as how many plants are involved. They're happy to sell individual plants to planty people, but it's not the bulk of their business. They wouldn't be able to afford Manhattan rents if that were the case. Thanks for featuring these shops. It's a unique slice of the plant world.

Good seeing the Flower District through your eyes, it used to be several blocks but has dwindled down to one block of stores. The red flower at 4:08 is a Gloriosa or flame lilly, really unique and beautiful.

oh how do I hate shopping at places that don't have price stickers on the items, cuz you'd have to ask same question over and over again about the price for everything, unlike if the price sticker is on every item, only then you'll know whether or not if you'd buy it for that price, it's so annoying having to ask.......

Hi Ashley you're looking so good. I'd lose my mind going through all those plants. Someday I hope to get the names down like you. I found a ring of fire at Walmart a month ago. I was so excited. It was a bit crunchy but the roots were healthy so I brought it home and it's doing good. Take care

Love this video. What a lovely plant shopping experience. The plant that looks like Ficus traingularis is Ficus deltoidea. And the begonia I googled and came up with two names, Farfugium gigantism and Ligularia deltata reniformis, both care called tractor seat plants.

The phal with the moss has moss wrapped around the growth points. You can get it to branch out or maybe get a keiki
@LifewithAshleyAnita2 ай бұрын
Oh that's a good tip!
@gazmatazz30022 ай бұрын
@@LifewithAshleyAnita you can peel back the bracket and apply keiki paste or go organic and soak the moss in rice or potato water.

If I were traveling and found a very interesting plant I would do everything I could to bring it home. Especially if I could find a smaller one, I would buy a plastic container and pack it in my carry on . I’ve also been know to pack things / plants in a checked bag in a plastic container if it weren’t an overly long flight. 🎃🍁💚🙃
