To be an ATC through the FAA in the US, you must be a US citizen. Over 90% of the ATC jobs in the US are through the FAA, so that’s something to keep in mind. Also, completing an AT-CTI program doesn’t *guarantee* placement, it just helps. 👍🏻

What if you get the qualifications needed for the UK but then also do a degree in medicine (because you might be interested in being a doctor) and apply to be an ATC. Would your chances be reduced, higher or the same? Thanks

I don't know the details but I would expect it's only possible if you're fluent in English and can obtain a job offer before you enter the USA, but check with people who work in aviation in the US.

I dont think you have to go to college for this, do you ? I'm pretty sure you have to do like a few years of training which you get a salary for aswell well thats what I found on Google but then again I'm still in school to so I'm not fully sure

You can apply for jobs but I suspect there are enought US citizens applying for the same jobs so you'll need to have special skills to beat the competition.

No, you don't need to go to university after A Levels. It's not mandatory and if you do choose to go it depends on what you study. I would suggest your time would be better spent in a junior role working as a radio operator at an airfield or in some other capacity in aviation.

I don't know for certain but I would think it's highly unlikely. I suggest you get your training and experience done in India then look around for jobs when you're qualified.
