Your tutorials are awesome, I only wish there was even more of them for me to binge! With making the ease of the puddle expansion drag out longer, could you use the pen tool on the value graph editor to add a point near the end of the animation, then drag the end key frame out to a longer duration, thereby retaining the speed of the animation at the beginning? My explanation makes it sound more convoluted than it is though...

Great stuff mate! You just started and you're already up there on my favotite quality creator bois list. Keep up the good work. Also, can you do a tutorial on perspective walk cycles using just shapes? Like a character walking towards or away from the camera. You know those classic hand drawn walk cycles, character facing the camera, fisheyed shoes and stuff. Would love to see that, but done with shape layers and stuff.
@BenMarriott5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much!! :D I really appreciate the suggestion! I'd have to spend a long time learning that myself first XD. I can't promise that one will be in the pipeline any time soon, but I'd love to know how to do that and I'll definitely share what I learn If I do. :D

Keyframed oh yeah, I've been following Motion Design School for a while and this request was actually inspired by that. They do great work but I can't shell out $50 something for a single tutorial plus they use hand drawn stuff; which I already know. I wanna learn doing exactly that but with shape layers, you know the nifty faux 3d mograph trick we've all been using to animate "3D" houses and such. I want that technique merged with perspective walk cycles. Kinda like what Limber does with it's fore-shortening tool.
@azharbhatti55445 жыл бұрын
Ben Marriott Cool. As Keyframed mentioned, Motion Design School's perspective walk cycle is exactly what I'm asking for (this request was actually inspired by that) but they use hand drawn stuff, which I already know about. I wanna do the same thing with shape layers. And since we both don't know how to that, I suggest you looking up this breakdown by Deekay Motion. instagram.com/p/BjbErSgB-fQ/?hl=en And Limber's fore-shortening tool, because you're way better than me at this and might be able to figure out a way to do the perspective thing using this technique. I'll also look around and try things out and will make sure update this comment if I figure something out. Thanks in advance.

if anyones having trouble with the gussian blur + levels leaving the edges blurry I found applying a brightness and contrast effect to the adjustment layer and turning the contrast up fixes it, I had to apply it a few times to get the edges sharp
@andres1609827 ай бұрын
