Hi Ben I’m I could really use your skills for a project I’m creating. What is the best way to contact you?
@ArtwithAmarBrisco2 жыл бұрын
I have been saying this for more than a decade. I have been using 3D software in some shape or form since the early 90s. What I see with Blender and now Unity or Unity it opens up so many possibilities for indie filmmakers and animators.
@BenMoranFilms2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I’m much newer to it than you are but being able to employ it on films even in small, subtle ways is so exciting.
@akenahillen4263 Жыл бұрын
Am really excited, I used to want to produce short films but whenever I thought about budget, and survuving, I couldnt do any films. But now blender gives an opportunity to do everything with zero to little budget....

This is an awesome video and I also have the same thoughts as you! I learned blender because one, I wanted to add it as an extra skill, and two I realized early on that the scope of what I want to make was far beyond what I can do on set... I'm still new to blender and VFX it seemed daunting at first but after that first step... it opens a whole new world of possibility of what you can do and that rush of excitement every time... cannot be topped by everything at least for me.

Great video, thank you for this. I've been wanting to try Blender but it always seemed like such a steep mountain to climb. But videos like this make me want to embark on that journey. Do you have any tutorial recommendations for total Blender beginners? Btw, love the tone of this video!
@BenMoranFilms2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. I totally relate to it feeling very intimidating, and the good news is it looks a lot worse than it is. For a beginner's tutorial, there's no better place to start than the famous donut tutorial by Blender Guru. It's a really in-depth tutorial on how to make a donut, but it's real function is to teach you all of the tools that you're going to use on a regular basis. It's also really easy to follow and fun, and once you've done it you'll be well on your way. I also recommend Ian Hubert's lazy tutorials because they're hilarious, but they also introduce you to a way of thinking about CG that is really fundamental to making scenes like the ones I showed in this video.
@aramisgrey371110 ай бұрын
I've resumed learning Blender because I alo share your opinion. It's time-consuming to learn but with more and more easy-to-follow tutorials out there and a clear idea of what you want to get out of it, it's definitely a skill to have.

@BenMoranFilms Жыл бұрын
Yeah, definitely would’ve been a good idea. I did not know about instancing (ALT + D) at the time so I was using SHIFT + D to duplicate those mannequins to make the crowd and so my little laptop was chugging to do anything in the scene by the end. I think a subdiv modifier would’ve sent it into oblivion!
