Okay this is my speculation about Star She performed this song last year during the early pandemic for the pc music online show (her video is on KZbin still) and this was just an u released demo version of her singing it live. So that’s the context. The lyrics before the drop of the song is “she’s so lucky / but she cry cry cries” which is basically a Britney Spears lyric/reference (à la Lucky the song by Britney). The Lucky lyric is / she’s so lucky / she’s a star / but she cry cry cries with her lonely heart / etc etc/. It’s basically just missing the “she’s a star part”. WHICH MAKES KT THAT MUCH MORE OF A WILD REFERENCE bc lucky by Britney was all about her stardom and everyone hating and judging and using her but namasenda‘a song star is all about her talent and not making it yet but still trying so….So that’s my musing as a namasenda fan who loved this track and was so ready for her album and was so happy for it all 😵‍💫😵🥴😪🥺🥺🥺😢

You should definitely check out some of A.G. Cook's own music that he's put out. He founded the PC Music label and produced this album as well as he has produced most of Charli's work and is also her creative director. He's just a total fucking genius when it comes to production and sound design.
